If they weren't talking about someone they knew, Alex wouldn't have really said anything, but this was a man she had seen feel everything Cara was saying, even though he had tried to hide it as much as possible, so she decided to say what she truly thought of it.

Although, she had been oblivious until recently, but both of them had been oblivious to what the other felt as well, and it was still that way for whatever reason. She remembered Cara teasing Dee about how she felt for Dean, and how he felt for her, but she had denied it and said that that wasn't the case.

“But still, Dean could be waiting around for something like that, his mate. It's not like there's a way to tell whether or not his mate is still out there.” Alex said after thinking about what Cara said. That was her opinion though, it doesn't mean that it was what he should do.

When it came to relationships between a man and a woman, involving sexual tensions, she knew that there was no one way to deal with things, and

Slowly, she turned to face him and confirmed that it was truly him. He grabbed her wrist and started to pull her to the opposite side of the hall. Quickly, she looked back at where Cara was sitting down to see that she was now looking at her. She pushed her eyebrows up and then dropped her mouth open to get her to intervene, but she lifted her shoulders in a shrug and dropped them with an expression on her face. She couldn't do anything, she was on her own, and that was what she was telling her. Alex sighed and shook her head. Traitor! She thought as she looked away from her. She wasn't just going to stand aside and do nothing if the case was reversed, or maybe she wouldn't because she wouldn't want to ever be caught in the middle of whatever it was that was going on between Gabe and her. Plus, he was the alpha, so there was little to nothing that she could do about things that would make any difference anyway. Squaring her shoulders, she decided that she wouldn't just follow him

His hands were wrapped around the back of her legs, and her thigh, dangerously close to her butt. Well, she was his so he could put his hand anywhere he wanted on her body, just like she could. "Put me down, Gabriel. You can't just kidnap me like I'm some orphan child you know.” She shouted. That doesn't mean that an orphan child could be kidnapped at any time anyone wanted. She had just used the example that came to mind so no offense at all. Right now, she wasn't thing anyway, all she wanted was for him to drop her and leave her the hell alone. There were people who looked at them at this point, but others just minded their business, not saying that she expected them to say or interfere like she wanted them to. They probably knew who he was, as half of the people here were probably werewolves like he was. She yelped when she was taken off the ground, but as soon as the surprise was over, she started to hit him on his back, telling him to put her down and things like that. "I'm s

  • Mate on His Front Door   Lots of Anger

She looked around herself. The weather here was perfect because of the inbuilt fireplace in the middle of the floor that helped calm the cold. The place was a little bit cozy just like she had deduced outside. It was an open-roof place so she was able to see the night, the dark sky providing a certain sense of calm that an indoor setting wouldn't be able to bring.“Do you like this place?” he asked out of nowhere and Alex nodded her head. She put a small smile on her face before looking at him. “Yeah, it's nice.” She said truthfully. She didn't think she needed to lie about the fine ass place just because she was angry with the person that had brought her here. Gabe nodded, and said nothing to that, so Alex continue to have a thought about the place. This was a place she would really enjoy on a normal date, not with Gabe kidnapping her and forcing her to come out here. She knew he was trying to make an effort, but it didn't mean anything to her if he wasn't willing to admit his mis

The only shop that they found on the road was a hot chocolate shop and a small grocery store. They stopped there and ordered two cups for them both. “What else do you need?” The kind vendor asked and Gabe shoot his head. "That's all.” He said. There were seats around the place, a little scattered to show that the vendor was already packing some of them up, and would soon close for the night, so they decided not to have a seat or anything like that. She heard Gabe tell the man to man them into go-to cups. The man nodded and passed them two steaming cups of hot chocolate which Alex took gladly. After he paid, we walked past the shop and once again continued walking on the empty road. Once the hot chocolate entered her mouth, she sighed deeply at the warm and sweet taste, loving the way it went down her throat and then warmed up her body. She was still feeling cold, but she was getting used to being outside in a dress like this. God, this night was getting too long. It was as if it ha

Alex didn't think that this was how the apology would go, because it sure shocked her to silence. She realized we still hadn't said anything, but she wouldn't if she had her way with how she was feeling. At that moment, she wanted nothing more than hug him and tell me that she doesn't need the world, that he was alone for her, and that he had been since the first time she set eyes on him. “Oh, Gabe.” She said, slightly touching his cheek before retrieving her hand. "I love you too, you silly man. I have since the first time we met. I just couldn't stop thinking about you. It was why I was more hurt that you didn't trust me.” She said. He nodded. "And, I'm sorry about that. I won't let it happen again.” He said. She sighed. "You really shouldn't be apologizing to me but to Max,” she said, half expecting him to disagree or throw a tantrum that he can't do that, but he just shrugged and nodded his head. "I hear you.” He said. It wasn't so hard now, was it, admitting the way he felt

  • Mate on His Front Door   Messy Training

If Alex said that she wasn't thinking about what had happened that night at the party, that brief encounter she had had with Gabe, well it wasn't all that brief but that wasn't the point, she would be lying her ass off. That experience had near sent her heart into a melting frenzy and it was as if she was about to melt away. And then he had taken her out down a lonely road after the dinner at the restaurant and told her he loved her, real intoxicating, sweet love. Then he kissed her, dragged her off to the bench, and kissed her even more. She thought of that moment every goddamned time even though that wasn't exactly what she had meant to do, especially not as she sat there at there in the park house’s training ground with seven other teenagers who were having difficulty finding their wolf. Alex wanted to be ashamed she was doing this at her age, but no one could fault her. Although, she realized that training with others like this would make people suspicious of the things they di

  • Mate on His Front Door   Dinner after Dinner

That night after the training, Alex sat down in her room tired even though she did nothing stressful, waiting for dinner to be ready. She wondered why she was getting tired quickly these days and hoped it had nothing to do with trying to find the work that might or might not be dead already in her, or that was buried deep down somewhere. That would be too much work. Yawning, she stood up to get rid of her clothes and grabbed the towel she had placed beside her on the bed to wrap around her body, then she glanced at the door, hoping no one came in. Galatia was supposed to come to call her for dinner when he was done cooking, and he was cooking something for God knows the reason. She didn't even know he would offer to cook or know how to, but she guessed she would find out the latter when she ate the food. She stretched and heard a cracking sound in her waist joint before walking to the bathroom where she spend about half an hour just soaking in the bath with hot water and strawberr

They jumped apart and looked to the door to see a grin on Dean’s face. "Gabe, that's my sister you have your throat shoved down her mouth.” He said playfully. “And get ass down that counter.” He said to Alex, making her laugh. “You saw nothing, Dean. And mind your business. She might be your sister, but she's my mate.” He said, waving his hand at him for him to get out. Laughing, Dean said. "You both should get back before someone else comes by.” He walked out after that.Alex nodded her head in agreement. “Yeah, I think he’s right, we should go now before someone else finds us here, or else will get busted.”With a groan, Gabe agreed and they went back into the living room to join the game. About twenty minutes into the game, somebody suggested they dance and they started to dance. It was late, and even though they should be heading back home and the rest going to bed, they decided it was better to have fun, spontaneously. Cara choose Alex as a dance partner, even though Tim had

  • Mate on His Front Door   Epilogue

Epilogue Three years Later “Gaby, go call your papa for dinner. He should be in his room.” Alex told her three year old daughter. Little Gaby shook her head and said. "No, mommy. Papa is being a wolf outside with Alex.” she pointed to the door of the kitchen that led to the backyard. Alex had two beautiful daughters, twins, Gabrielle and Alexis. They were her life, and she loved them so much. Nodding, she smiled at the girl and shook her head at her as she licked her lollipop. She kept telling them both it was going for their teeth, but their father would sneak it to them. She could tell the only reason Gaby wasn't hiding her candy lollipop was that she was carried away. "Gaby, what's that you have in your hand?” she asked her. “Huh,” she removed the lollipop from her mouth and started at it for a second, then she quickly hid it behind her. Smiling, Alex shook her head.Soon, she heard footsteps coming towards the kitchen door and Gabe stepped inside, Alexis behind him. She al

  • Mate on His Front Door   Shaken

Alex slept for two hours straight and she had just woken up five minutes ago. She was standing in the kitchen with Gabe standing at the end of the table watching her as she moved around, slicing this and salting that.Mrs. Teddy just arrived ten minutes earlier with the ingredient she had listed off at the hospital, and he had instructed her to wash them and get them all ready and sorted for her. That made Alex's job easier for her. She was making brown rice, fried salmon, and chicken soup. She already had the pot in the cooker and she had put in all the vegetables she chopped into it; including the spinach and broccoli. They are low in calories, and they are a great source of calcium, iron, vitamin C, and heart-healthy antioxidants. She allowed the vegetables to cook on medium heat until they were soft. She stir-fry the vegetables for a little while before she added the boiled chicken and seasoning to it. She was cooking it in the special way her mother had taught her how to. She

  • Mate on His Front Door   Getting Food

After bringing the coffee, Tim asked them to wait outside, and not to go home until they were able to see the cute little baby that just joined the family. Sitting outside with his wife, Gabe wrapped his hand around Alex's shoulder and pulled her to him so that she would rest against him. “Do you think we should stay? You look tired.” “I am, but we should wait.” She said. Thankfully, Tim soon poked his head out of the hospital room's door, and he said to Gabe. "Come on, Gabe. You can now see the baby." He said. With a nod, he stood up. "Will you stay here?” “I'll come with you.” She said and he nodded. They proceeded to the room and followed Tim to the side of Cara's bed. Cara was carrying her daughter and she used a pink blanket to wrap around her. Gabe could have sworn that the baby was as pink as the blanket itself. She was so beautiful and she had chubby cheeks. She was closing her eyes so Gabe couldn't see the color of they were but he knew that they would be beautiful. Cara

  • Mate on His Front Door   Happy For Cara

Alex was all happy, smiling and nodding at everything Cara said. She had had a peek at the baby before she was taken away so that they could clean her properly. She was so pink and so beautiful that Alex's heart swelled with pride and happiness for her friend. This was what people called a bundle of joy. She was going to be experiencing it soon, in a few months, and she couldn't wait. Although, she had also seen the pain that came with it, and that scared her, but the happiness in her heart at the moment didn't allow her to dwell on it. This was the first time that Alex witnessed childbirth, and so far she feared and loved the experience, the feeling she got. She bent down to whisper into Cara's ear and told her that she was going out to see Gabe.“I'm so happy for you both.” She wanted to say, but she could see that Cara was already so tired. Telling her that would make her all pumped up to talk more about her own feeling and how happy she was. “Okay, you should do that.” She said

  • Mate on His Front Door   Pearl's Arrival

Getting out of the car even before Gabe parked it made him so angry he wanted to yell at her, slamming on the brake before she could jump out. Why the hell was she acting so reckless all of a sudden when she could as well calm down and still get to her sister in the end? He gave her a look that could have melted her head off if that was possible and gritted his teeth. "That was dangerous, Alex. Why did you think it was okay to open the car door when I haven't even stopped the car?”“I'm sorry.” She said, her voice a little bit low. Her phone had been ringing off the hook since they were on their way here. She had picked it every time, and Cara kept telling her to get herself there if she didn't want her to kill her. “You could have been killed if I didn't stop the car. You almost got down from the car if I didn't stop you.” “I wasn't thinking straight.” She said. She had been so distracted, thinking about the kind of pain that her sister must be going through, with the pain that

  • Mate on His Front Door   The Call

Alex had just woken up a little minutes past six o'clock in the morning when her phone rang. She had been sleeping with her body half across Gabe's body so she tried to get off him but his hand tightened his hold around her waist. He moaned and moved even closer to her, pushing his face into the crack of her neck. He sniffed and moaned again. He was probably dreaming about her, or at least, that was what she thought was happening.“Gabe,” she called softly. "let me get up, okay.” She said. She wasn't sure he heard her but she would try. She was tired but her phone was ringing, and for someone to be calling at that time, it must be something important.“Gabe, remove your hand off me. I need to get to my phone.” She said again. She tried raising his hand that was across her belly but he was not bulging. She raised her head to look up at him to see his eyes were now wide open, with no residual of sleep on his face. He had been watching her sleep, and she wondered for how long that had

"Alex, finish the bowl," Gabe instructed and Alex made a sour face, not liking the situation at all. She wondered what she had gotten herself into and how she would get herself out of it. "Gabe, I am done. I am not hungry anymore." She whined and pushed the tray away. She held her breath as she said that, hoping that would work and he would leave her the heck alone. "Finish it. You are pregnant. You need to take care of your diet now. I don't want you to black out as you did after the honeymoon." He said and picked up the bowl. He was determined to make sure she finished the food, and if that required him spoon-feeding her himself, then that was exactly what he would do. Filling the spoon with the soup, he raised his hand and extended it towards her mouth, opening his in a gesture for her to go the same. Groaning in a complaint, she finally opened her mouth and allowed him to slide the food inside.“I won't black out again, you know. The doctor already examined me.” She said and he

"And I take her to be my lawfully mated wife,” Gabe said, and the elder that officiated their marriage said. "You may kiss the bride.”Alex knew that she would always remember Gabe's sweet reaction when he turned to kiss her as the elder had said. He was smiling brightly, his eyes laced with tears of joy. She could tell he was as happy as she was even though she had been getting cold feet at the beginning of the day, up until the start of the ceremony itself. He caught her lips as he kissed her passionately, her searing hot mouth making her want more than the kiss he was giving, but she couldn't have. They were outside after all, with a lot of people present, and she wasn't about to give them a free show. That would be doing something nasty. As Alex lost herself in the kiss, it was the loud cheer of the people around them that drew her back a little. She could tell that they were all so happy for them. At least, most of them. There was no way everyone around a person will completel

  • Mate on His Front Door   Happy Day

Today was one of the happiest days of Alex's life, no doubt. She was not just happy though, she was elated, or any other word she could use to describe the way she felt at this very moment. It also happened to be the day she had been waiting for and dreaming about since she became a grown woman. She had basically prepared her mind for this very day and now that it was here, she was glad, feeling ten folds of the happiness she had always dreamt of. She couldn’t wait to be addressed as Mrs. Berkeley, and today was the day she was going to say “I do” to the man that she loved so much, even though it was just going to be one of the wedding ceremonies, it was as important as the one they would do at the pack house to have them officially mated. It was more or less a joining of some sort. She had always dreamt of spending the rest of her lifetime with the man that loved and cared for her and her family this way. She was just too happy to express her joy. She realized that the way she was
