This doesn't even sound funny to her any longer and the more they talked about it, the more she wanted to scream at them all to stop. They were only adding to her headache, even though they had no idea that was the case.

Why was everyone being serious about her being pregnant? It was her pregnancy, wasn't it, and it wasn't as if they were sure if she was pregnant or not. Alex sighed, feeling like she was been choked. The number of times she had had to think about the word pregnancy was really giving her the chills, sending its icy cold hand down the spine of her back.

"But I thought pregnant women are supposed to eat much more than the way Alex is eating?" Gabe asked Dee thoughtfully.

He wanted to know everything that he needed to know as much as he could. He liked being prepared when going forth into something he wasn't sure about. He knew nothing about pregnancy, and the only affair he had with it was when his mother was pregnant with his brothers, but he was still a child and cou

Dee watched Alex close her eyes, and she soon began to snore softly. Sighing softly, Dee brought out her phone from her bag to check out the latest, good pregnancy test kits that she could send one of her girls at the shop to buy for her cousin. Those things were not completely accurate, but they could let them know otherwise. Back downstairs, Gabe grinned widely. He was so happy about what her Dee had told him some moments ago upstairs in Alex's room. It was true that Alex was on birth control pills, but they both knew that it wasn't really accurate and people could always get pregnant. Ever since they started making love, he had never thought to use protection but Alex had told him she used it to regulate her cycle, whatever that meant. He was really clueless when it came to things that had to do with women. He walked to the fridge and brought out a bottle of water. He walked to the cabinet that housed the cups and took out one so that it could take it upstairs to her, but Dean sto

  • Mate on His Front Door   Working Is A Sin

He came back to the house to see Alex all cleaning in the kitchen and he just flipped. Why in the world was she doing that when they had cleaning staff? Admitting they were on their break but it still didn't give her the right to work around the house in her condition. “What the fuck are you doing?” he asked, frowning. Just because she was a bit strong now didn't give her the right to work herself again. Alex knew it was Gabe when the kitchen door opened but she couldn't stop in time for him to not see her. She knew that he would make a fuss and a big deal out of the fact that she was cleaning, even though he shouldn't "I needed to clean. I couldn’t sit around waiting for you to get back.” She said, not looking up. Her ass gave a little shake as she moved her body to clean, and Gabe bit his bottom lip. He signed and walked to her, trying to calm himself down right before he got to her. Gripping her arm, he tugged her up to stand on her feet. "I just want to be sure you're not cra

In what seemed like an eternity, the bathroom door opened, and Alex stepped out. Nothing on her face gave anything away, or maybe he just couldn't read her. He squinted his eyes as she sat down and he walked quickly back to the bed to sit down next to her. Her expression was almost blank, and even the small frown on her face wasn't telling him anything. "Don’t worry, Gabe. I washed my hands." She said, shaking her head. She held up her hand to show him the white stick. “Huh, it has not changed yet, but I thought we could sit and watch it together." She said and sat beside him on the bed.“What? It's going to take extra time?” he asked. She shrugged her shoulder. "I really won't know, Gabe. It's my first time checking that out.” She said. “But you've been in there a long time.” He said. "I literally sat here waiting for a long time, and we still have to wait?” he asked. “No, actually. I didn't pee on it as soon as I entered the bathroom.” She admitted. She had told her mother, sis

She sighed and pressed a kiss to both his cheeks. “I do love you, and we're getting married, and that's all that matters." She said to him."I don’t know what to say to you." He said, shaking his head. Damn, he had never met someone as stubborn as she was in his life. “We’re getting married," Alex said again, testing the words against her lips as she licked them right before she pressed them to his. “And I’m excited about having your baby." She said as she took his hand and pressed his palm to her belly over her cloth.A lump filled his throat at what she held within her body. Their child, their son or daughter, was nestled within her, and that calmed him.He wrapped his arms around her, and he closed his eyes, sending a prayer to the heavens for everything to be okay. That was all he could ask for. “Let's go downstairs to the kitchen. I promise I'll just finish the cleaning and do nothing again for today.” She said. “No way. You're not touching that towel again, and neither are yo

"Fine. I'll stop, okay? I'm sorry.” She said. Leaning up, she brushed her lips across his. When he didn't open for her, she licked the seam, probing for entry. He was angry, she could tell, so trying to make him less angry and getting her own mind off things was the way forward, and doing this what all that came to mind. It was a win-win situation. They were both going to get what they wanted, or maybe she would be getting more, but it was still a win for her. She bit his bottom lips gently, smiling against his mouth, and he groaned, opening up for her incursion. After a few seconds, she didn't have to try so hard with her any longer, he was already less angry and in the mood, just like she wanted. He slid his hands into her hair, holding her firm, and kissed her back.Smiling, Alex reached up and put her hand on his chest to feel his heart beating fast. She wondered if he was like this because of what was happening, or because he was scared like she was. That was all she could do

  • Mate on His Front Door   The Internet Feed

Gabe and Alex had made love since finding out about her pregnancy but he had refused to touch her since he read something about it on the internet until he knew everything would be fine. No matter how much she told him that making love was fine, he didn’t acknowledge her. He wanted to wait for the doctor to confirm if they could have sex or not. The doctor Cara recommended wasn’t free until next week, but he’d had put her on folic acid. “I spoke to the doctor on the phone." He started. “He asked if you were spotting and explained to me the dangers to look out for." He said. She nodded, and wrapped her arms around his neck, wanting him to touch her like he always does. "I already told you it's fine, you know.” He shook his head, no. "Not so fast, Alex. You’re going into the bath, and then I’m going to give you that foot massage I promised you.” He pressed a kiss to her head. “Go on and have your bath, baby.” He could tell she was trying to get him to touch her, but he wouldn't bu

"So why are you making me wait?" She asked him. "Because it’s not enough for me that you said it, but Cara just left and she said it was okay. She is going through it as well, so she's an expert.” He said. Cara had come to drop something off for Alex while she was in the bathroom, and he had used the opportunity to ask her if doing this was okay. Before she answered his question, she had laughed in his face first, and then she had told him she got it all the time from professionals and her fiancé. He had also decided to ask her about the issue that was hanging between them, whether or not it was okay to get between the sheets and all, and she had told him without shame that she was getting it done plenty of times. He stood, sinking his hands into her full hair to hold her head. He used his grip to get her to look at him. "We should get on the bed, but if you're comfortable here…” Quickly, she nodded her head. "Yes, Gabe. Im perfectly all right.” She said the moment she saw the lo

  • Mate on His Front Door   The Perfect Excuse

It's been a whole month, a whole crazy one with her fiancé acting like she was an egg that could break any minute. After Cara’s wedding, things had gotten even worse, almost choking for her, seeing as Gabe shadowed her every move and that was giving her a headache. It wasn't as if she hated the attention that was given but it was getting to the point where she might get sick if he act like she was something that could break any moment, anymore. It was more than she could take. She could feel the pain in her back, but she didn't dare mention it or show that she was feeling it because Gabe would probably nag her until she was dizzy from all the questions. Trying to avoid that, she turned away from him a bit and sighed. "Are you going to be all right on your own when I leave?” he asked, looking at her and she nodded her head in agreement. She wasn't a child so she definitely would survive, besides she was getting a free time to herself. She hadn’t had any alone time since she was p

  • Mate on His Front Door   Epilogue

Epilogue Three years Later “Gaby, go call your papa for dinner. He should be in his room.” Alex told her three year old daughter. Little Gaby shook her head and said. "No, mommy. Papa is being a wolf outside with Alex.” she pointed to the door of the kitchen that led to the backyard. Alex had two beautiful daughters, twins, Gabrielle and Alexis. They were her life, and she loved them so much. Nodding, she smiled at the girl and shook her head at her as she licked her lollipop. She kept telling them both it was going for their teeth, but their father would sneak it to them. She could tell the only reason Gaby wasn't hiding her candy lollipop was that she was carried away. "Gaby, what's that you have in your hand?” she asked her. “Huh,” she removed the lollipop from her mouth and started at it for a second, then she quickly hid it behind her. Smiling, Alex shook her head.Soon, she heard footsteps coming towards the kitchen door and Gabe stepped inside, Alexis behind him. She al

  • Mate on His Front Door   Shaken

Alex slept for two hours straight and she had just woken up five minutes ago. She was standing in the kitchen with Gabe standing at the end of the table watching her as she moved around, slicing this and salting that.Mrs. Teddy just arrived ten minutes earlier with the ingredient she had listed off at the hospital, and he had instructed her to wash them and get them all ready and sorted for her. That made Alex's job easier for her. She was making brown rice, fried salmon, and chicken soup. She already had the pot in the cooker and she had put in all the vegetables she chopped into it; including the spinach and broccoli. They are low in calories, and they are a great source of calcium, iron, vitamin C, and heart-healthy antioxidants. She allowed the vegetables to cook on medium heat until they were soft. She stir-fry the vegetables for a little while before she added the boiled chicken and seasoning to it. She was cooking it in the special way her mother had taught her how to. She

  • Mate on His Front Door   Getting Food

After bringing the coffee, Tim asked them to wait outside, and not to go home until they were able to see the cute little baby that just joined the family. Sitting outside with his wife, Gabe wrapped his hand around Alex's shoulder and pulled her to him so that she would rest against him. “Do you think we should stay? You look tired.” “I am, but we should wait.” She said. Thankfully, Tim soon poked his head out of the hospital room's door, and he said to Gabe. "Come on, Gabe. You can now see the baby." He said. With a nod, he stood up. "Will you stay here?” “I'll come with you.” She said and he nodded. They proceeded to the room and followed Tim to the side of Cara's bed. Cara was carrying her daughter and she used a pink blanket to wrap around her. Gabe could have sworn that the baby was as pink as the blanket itself. She was so beautiful and she had chubby cheeks. She was closing her eyes so Gabe couldn't see the color of they were but he knew that they would be beautiful. Cara

  • Mate on His Front Door   Happy For Cara

Alex was all happy, smiling and nodding at everything Cara said. She had had a peek at the baby before she was taken away so that they could clean her properly. She was so pink and so beautiful that Alex's heart swelled with pride and happiness for her friend. This was what people called a bundle of joy. She was going to be experiencing it soon, in a few months, and she couldn't wait. Although, she had also seen the pain that came with it, and that scared her, but the happiness in her heart at the moment didn't allow her to dwell on it. This was the first time that Alex witnessed childbirth, and so far she feared and loved the experience, the feeling she got. She bent down to whisper into Cara's ear and told her that she was going out to see Gabe.“I'm so happy for you both.” She wanted to say, but she could see that Cara was already so tired. Telling her that would make her all pumped up to talk more about her own feeling and how happy she was. “Okay, you should do that.” She said

  • Mate on His Front Door   Pearl's Arrival

Getting out of the car even before Gabe parked it made him so angry he wanted to yell at her, slamming on the brake before she could jump out. Why the hell was she acting so reckless all of a sudden when she could as well calm down and still get to her sister in the end? He gave her a look that could have melted her head off if that was possible and gritted his teeth. "That was dangerous, Alex. Why did you think it was okay to open the car door when I haven't even stopped the car?”“I'm sorry.” She said, her voice a little bit low. Her phone had been ringing off the hook since they were on their way here. She had picked it every time, and Cara kept telling her to get herself there if she didn't want her to kill her. “You could have been killed if I didn't stop the car. You almost got down from the car if I didn't stop you.” “I wasn't thinking straight.” She said. She had been so distracted, thinking about the kind of pain that her sister must be going through, with the pain that

  • Mate on His Front Door   The Call

Alex had just woken up a little minutes past six o'clock in the morning when her phone rang. She had been sleeping with her body half across Gabe's body so she tried to get off him but his hand tightened his hold around her waist. He moaned and moved even closer to her, pushing his face into the crack of her neck. He sniffed and moaned again. He was probably dreaming about her, or at least, that was what she thought was happening.“Gabe,” she called softly. "let me get up, okay.” She said. She wasn't sure he heard her but she would try. She was tired but her phone was ringing, and for someone to be calling at that time, it must be something important.“Gabe, remove your hand off me. I need to get to my phone.” She said again. She tried raising his hand that was across her belly but he was not bulging. She raised her head to look up at him to see his eyes were now wide open, with no residual of sleep on his face. He had been watching her sleep, and she wondered for how long that had

"Alex, finish the bowl," Gabe instructed and Alex made a sour face, not liking the situation at all. She wondered what she had gotten herself into and how she would get herself out of it. "Gabe, I am done. I am not hungry anymore." She whined and pushed the tray away. She held her breath as she said that, hoping that would work and he would leave her the heck alone. "Finish it. You are pregnant. You need to take care of your diet now. I don't want you to black out as you did after the honeymoon." He said and picked up the bowl. He was determined to make sure she finished the food, and if that required him spoon-feeding her himself, then that was exactly what he would do. Filling the spoon with the soup, he raised his hand and extended it towards her mouth, opening his in a gesture for her to go the same. Groaning in a complaint, she finally opened her mouth and allowed him to slide the food inside.“I won't black out again, you know. The doctor already examined me.” She said and he

"And I take her to be my lawfully mated wife,” Gabe said, and the elder that officiated their marriage said. "You may kiss the bride.”Alex knew that she would always remember Gabe's sweet reaction when he turned to kiss her as the elder had said. He was smiling brightly, his eyes laced with tears of joy. She could tell he was as happy as she was even though she had been getting cold feet at the beginning of the day, up until the start of the ceremony itself. He caught her lips as he kissed her passionately, her searing hot mouth making her want more than the kiss he was giving, but she couldn't have. They were outside after all, with a lot of people present, and she wasn't about to give them a free show. That would be doing something nasty. As Alex lost herself in the kiss, it was the loud cheer of the people around them that drew her back a little. She could tell that they were all so happy for them. At least, most of them. There was no way everyone around a person will completel

  • Mate on His Front Door   Happy Day

Today was one of the happiest days of Alex's life, no doubt. She was not just happy though, she was elated, or any other word she could use to describe the way she felt at this very moment. It also happened to be the day she had been waiting for and dreaming about since she became a grown woman. She had basically prepared her mind for this very day and now that it was here, she was glad, feeling ten folds of the happiness she had always dreamt of. She couldn’t wait to be addressed as Mrs. Berkeley, and today was the day she was going to say “I do” to the man that she loved so much, even though it was just going to be one of the wedding ceremonies, it was as important as the one they would do at the pack house to have them officially mated. It was more or less a joining of some sort. She had always dreamt of spending the rest of her lifetime with the man that loved and cared for her and her family this way. She was just too happy to express her joy. She realized that the way she was
