Rodriguez sat down on the expensive looking sofa with a smile on his face. He looked around the house. It was huge. Rodriguez had never seen a house this huge before. Every single thing in the house was fancy and looked like it was worth a fortune. At first, he had thought he would regret his decision, but he didn't. He only missed his parents and would return when the issue had been solved.
"Mr. Jake." Someone called and Rodriguez turned his head. "Dinner is served." It was the maid and she was referring to Rodriguez. "Thank you." He said and stood up to follow her. He walked to the dinning room and sat in front of the food. The joy that filled his heart left no space for any regret. This seems confusing doesn't it? Flashback to when Emilio was speaking with Rodriguez. "Wow, you really are the best at what you do." Rodriguez had said to Emilio. The picture in front of the paper wasn't Rodriguez's, it was infact that of Jake Smith, a human living in the human realm. Emilio had managed to find this human that looked exactly like Rodriguez. The resemblance between them was uncanny, you would have thought they were twins, but that wasn't possible because Jake seemed to be human, and Rodriguez was a wolf. "How the hell did you find him? You really surprise me sometimes." Rodriguez said and Emilio shrugged. "Well, this is Jake Smith, I was also surprised when I saw that he looked exactly like you, but anyway I checked and he's filthy rich, so you'll be comfortable." Emilio said. "Wow, so what's the plan?" Rodriguez asked Emilio. "We're going to switch your position with him." Emilio said and Rodriguez's eyes widened. "You're an alpha, so you can perform a compulsion on him, give him your memories, so he knows what he's doing and no one suspects, and take his so you can live his life. When this is all sorted out, you can come back and take your rightful place." Rodriguez was dumbfounded at how Emilio could come up with something like that. "Wow, okay. How do we get this done? Because he's all the way in the human realm." "We'll go there, knock him out, then you perform the compulsion on him, and then I bring him back here and you go to his house. I've already gotten his schedule, the only time we'll be able to get him is tomorrow night when he's getting back from work, so we have to get ready." Rodriguez nodded as he leaned back on the sofa. "Okay, meet me here tomorrow by 8 pm, so we can get going." Rodriguez said to Emilio before they both left his office, both heading to their respective homes. As Rodriguez laid in bed that night, he didn't know what to feel. He wanted to be happy because he wouldn't have to solve his own problems himself,.but he wasn't. As he was dragged into sleep, he thought of his parents and how they would feel if they knew what he was about to do. By 8pm the next day, Rodriguez was pacing in his office, waiting for Emilio to arrive. He was nervous because of their plan failed, that meant everybody was going to find out what he did, and his parents parents would be disappointed and worse, he will be stripped of his rights to become the next alpha. Mid pace, Emilio stepped into the office. Rodriguez immediately turned to him, letting out the breath he was holding. "Okay, we have to leave now. We'll take my car, so nothing seems suspicious, okay? Let's go." He said and they quickly went down the stairs to Emilio's car. With as much speed as he could afford to drive with, without drawing g too much attention, Emilio drove u til they reached The Gate. The Gate was a gate, but it was not just any ordinary gate, even though it seemed like one to people who didn't know. The Gate was the only gateway to the human realm and back. It was located at the very edge of their borders and they were lucky enough that their pack was close to it. Getting through the gate would bring you to a very similar gate at the other side, but in the human realm. Only a selected few knew about this, so people wouldn't keep coming and going and end up putting the werewolf realm in potential danger. The only way to get through The Gate, was to give it a specific amount of potter's stone. Unlike it's name, the potter's stone was not made by or related to the potter. It was named that way, because of its resemblance in color to clay. They were really hard to find and even when you found them, expensive to acquire. A specific amount of the potter's stone was to be placed in the weigh-like figure at the side of The Gate that looked like it was for an aesthetic purpose. Without putting in the potter's stone, opening the gate would be like opening every other gate. Emilio got out of the car with a small bag in his hand. He walked over to where the weigh was, and poured the stones in it and got back to the car. "Dude, where did you get those? They're extremely hard to find." Rodriguez said to Emilio. "I have my ways and also, you're my best friend, and have been since childhood, so I would do anything for you as long as you're happy." Emilio replied and Rodriguez smiled. "Thanks, man." He said hugging Emilio. They pulled out of the hug when they heard the sound of The Gate opening. Bright white light shone from the other side making it difficult to see what was there. Squinting his eyes, Emilio drove into the lights. They drove into The Gate and found themselves in a similar place to where The Gate was in their realm. They looked back to see The Gate close behind them and and go back to looking like every normal gate. "Whoa, we made it." Rodriguez said, excited. "Yeah, let's get going, or we're going to miss him." Emilio said restarting the car and driving according to the directions he was given. They stopped by a some what lonely road where he was meant to pass to get to his house. They hid the car behind some trees, and took some big braches out to block off the road, then they waited. Looking down at his watch, Rodriguez saw that it was already 9:45pm, so he was meant to pass anytime soon. After a while, from where they were hiding, they could see headlights shining in the distance. As the car approached, Emilio looked down to see if it was the same car in the picture he was given, and it was. When the car got closer to the branches, the car stopped and the person in the car stepped out. It was Jake Smith. Rodriguez's eyes widened as he saw him. How could someone who wasnt related to him resemble him so much? Jake walked towards the branches to inspect them, and Emilio had to snap Rodriguez out of the trance he had put himself in. Rodriguez sneaked up behind Jake and wrapped his arm around his neck to block his airway until he passed out, because he wasn't sure whether Jake would have attacked them or somehow called for help if they left him awake. He then dragged him to the side of the car and made him rest his back on it. Emilio came beside him with a bottle of water on his hand, which he sprinkled on Jake's face so he would wake up. Immediately he opened his eyes, Rodriguez let his wolf out, and his eyes turned gold as Jake's locked with his. "You, Jake Smith will go to the Moona pack as Rodriguez Wolf, you would continue to live there and find a mate in preparation to he the next alpha, and when the time is right, and I come back, you are to return to your normal human life as Jake Smith. Do you understand?" He asked. "Yes, sir." Jake nodded, hypnotized. "Here are my memories and I will take yours to help us accomplish our missions smoothly." He compulsed. When their memories had been successfully exchanged, Jake lost consciousness. The person who performs the compulsion is the only one out of the two that keeps both memories, so Rodriguez still had his. They quickly exchanged their clothes and carried Jake to Emilio's car. After they had done that, they both stopped and looked at each other before hugging themselves. "I'm gonna miss you, man." Emilio said. "Me too. Make sure to watch him, so he gets the job done.* Rodriguez said pulling out of the hug. "No problem." Emilio said opening the car door to get something. "This is two travels worth of potter's stone, if you ever need to come back." He said handing two bags over to Rodriguez. "So I'll take him to your house and lay him on your bed, so he wakes up there." He said before getting into his car. "Look after my parents for me." Rodriguez said to Emilio as he started driving away, back towards The Gate. He sighed as he watched the car disappear into the distance. He got in Jake's car, and since he had Jake's memories, he drove to his house. Back to the present, Rodriguez was in Jake's room, on his bed. He thought about Emilio and whether he would have gotten back home by then. He turned over to his side and sighed. The next day, he had to go to Jake's office in his place to do a job he knew nothing about and had no interest in, but thanks to Jake's memories, he would be able to do it. His eyes closed, tired from the day's work as he smiled thinking he would be able to get away with what he had just done, or so he thought.Rodriguez woke up to the sound of the alarm clock ringing. This is so goddamn loud, he thought. He groaned as he stretched his hand to turn it off. Browsing through Jake's memories, he saw that Jake always woke up by six every day. 'Why the hell would a person wake up so early in the morning. I thought he was the CEO of a company.' He groaned again as he dragged himself out of the bed. He felt really angry that he had to wake up so early to go to work. He walked to the bathroom, taking off his clothes on the way and dropping them on the ground. He got into the bathroom and turned on the lights. The bathroom was very big like every other area in the house. It was the biggest he had ever seen. I was almost as big as his whole bedroom back home. He walked towards where the shower head was and saw different types of shower gels on the shelves hung on the wall by the side. 'This guy is really wealthy.' He thought as he picked them up one after the other to smell them before
Rodriguez couldn't help but feel lost for words as he stared at Mara. She was a gorgeous woman with full brown brown hair that went down to her waist and brown eyes that seemed to be staring into your soul. The confidence she exuded only made the sudden attraction Rodriguez felt towards her stronger. She was exactly his type. "Welcome, Miss Lade. Have a seat." Daniel said to her as Mara and her company members sat down. The meeting commenced without any further delay and everyone was focused on the projector screen, listening to everything that was being presented, except Rodriguez. The entire time, the only thing that attracted his attention was Mara, not like he cared about anything that was being said. He wondered how she would look in his bed. "Mr Jake." He heard someone call and touch him through his daze. He looked up to see everyone staring at him. He still hadn't gotten used to being called Jake. Mara had narrowed her eyes wondering why the CEO of a company wou
Standing outside his office door and having to listen to Daniel talk shit about him to Cole, made Rodriguez furious. He opened the door to his office and stepped in to see Cole sitting on the couch and Daniel standing in front of him. Immediately Daniel heard the door open, he stopped talking. He turned around and flashed Rodriguez a fake smile as he stepped back and away from Cole. Rodriguez just gave him a dirty look, not wanting to cause a commotion in front of Cole. "When will you be leaving, dad?" He asked Cole with a smile on his face. "I was just waiting for you to come back, so you can walk me out." Cole said standing up from the couch he was sitting in. He walked past Daniel and took Rodriguez's hand so he could walk beside him, leaving Daniel in the office. Cole thought to what Daniel had said, but he had expected it as Daniel had always looked for ways to badmouth Jake. "You really should take care of yourself. And about that thing that's bothering you, it
"This is ridiculous." Rodriguez said to his father as they stepped into his office. Barros looked at his son and sighed. They had been on this issue for the past few hours and Barros was trying to make his son see reason. He had been told the condition for becoming alpha at a meeting with the elders of the pack concerning his coronation and he was not taking it lightly. "This is how it's always been. It's our tradition. The heir to the pack has to be mated before he can become the nest alpha. It's like a sign to the people that you're ready to lead them." His father explained. Rodriguez ran his hand through his hair as he sat down in his chair behind his desk. He was truly frustrated. He had worked hard for so long to prove that he was worthy to become the next alpha, only to be told that he had to be mated. He didn't want to give up his lifestyle. He had a reputation in his pack for being a player. He never dated any woman for more than a week and he enjoyed doing it. The
