Mable raised a brow. “Huh?”

“I have a patient with a tricky case. I’m at a loss, to be honest, so I thought I could get your opinion on it.”

“Send me their chart, and I’ll take a look.”

Not long after the call, Mable received the chart file from Ethan.

Since she had nothing better to do, she clicked on the file and examined it.

The patient was a foreign male in his fifties. He had a liver and kidney transplant five years ago.

While the surgery was a success, he encountered difficulties during recovery, which caused the kidney to fail. He was in need of a second surgery.

Mable read the chart and replied to Ethan with a voice note.

“If the patient wants to go through with the second transplant, the issue would be the availability of a suitable kidney and the possibility of a multi-organ failure. From his chart, I can tell you that the likelihood of surgery complications is at least eighty percent. It’s a huge risk.”
