Although Gerald had not accepted Reina’s confession, he had promised that he would give her a surprise on her birthday. That was enough to delight Reina.

Gerald shot her a glance and said, “I’m busy.”

At that moment, Reina was too consumed by her joy. She felt warm inside even though Gerald was chasing her off. “Alright then. I’ll leave now, Gerald. I’ll see you on my birthday. By the way…” She hid the viciousness deep within. “Can I invite more of my friends? After all, it’s the first time you’ll be celebrating my birthday with me. I’m so happy.”

Reina was so happy that she was nearly unable to walk.
