North’s glare made Gerald’s heart tremble. He clutched North’s wrist and asked, “What is it?”

North looked at him huffily.

If Gerald could give Reina a villa worth twenty million dollars, that meant that he had known Reina for a long time. They might even have an intricate history together.

Being friends with that woman told her that Gerald… had no taste at all!

North shook Gerald off and took a step back. She turned and quickly stomped down the stairs. “I’m not hungry,” she repeated.

Gerald raised an eyebrow.

In the kitchen, North grabbed two slices of bread while Gerald stood to one side. “I thought you weren’t hungry, Mrs. Howard?”

North paused in her actions. She felt a bit guilty at being caught.

But then, she realized that she had no reason to feel guilty at all.

North puffed up her chest and said, “I’m moody, okay?”

Gerald’s gaze fell on her figure, and he chuckled softly. He said lowly, “At least you’re self-aware, Mrs. Howard.”
