Gerald smiled. He kissed her high on the cheek. “That’s good.”

Was he not going to question her about her “lost” phone?

“If the phone’s lost then it’s lost. I believe you.” Gerald chuckled gently. “Besides, I think that you have nothing to hide from me, right, Mrs. Howard?”
