“I think you’re right,” North said to Eleanor.

She lowered her head in embarrassment. “But Gerald likes a vixen like me, not an innocent flower like Ms. Bracken. What about it?”

The whole living room fell into silence as everyone stared at North.

Gerald was speechless.

He was mistaken. He had thought that North would be unhappy about this.

Eleanor’s and Cynthia’s faces were frozen, and their expressions were as black as thunder.

North was still speaking. “Why don’t you learn from me from now on, Ms. Bracken? You’re still young, so it’s still not too late.”

Eleanor’s face reddened as she roared, “You b*tch! How shameless you are to say Cynthia should learn from you! Our Cynthia is a prominent young lady. Who do you think you are?!”

North beamed. “I’m not much, but Gerald doesn’t care for a prominent woman like Ms. Bracken. Instead, he likes me. Maybe I’m simply too charismatic.”

Eleanor nearly choked.

That was not what she meant!

How could North be so shameless?
