Faye’s POV

"What makes you think I'm easy to trick?" I showed him the phone and the voice recorder and sent the voice recording to my sister and Fabian with one click.

Ares's face turned pale as he grabbed the phone from me. But he can't change it anymore because the voice record has already been sent, and he cannot remove it. I laughed at him, which made him very angry. He slapped me so hard that it hurt and made me feel numb at the same time.

"Faye, do you want to test my patience? Then, this might be all you wanted." He smiled at me and pulled out a knife. He showed it to me, and I was shocked. I crawled up and opened the door to look for help, but no one seemed to be in this building. I tried to run away, but he was after me. I pressed the elevator button, but it took a long time to open, so when I saw him walking slowly toward me, I ran up the stairs and called for help.
