83. Guilty

Abby’s POV

We made a hasty trip to the hospital, and as we were there, I felt like someone was squeezing my heart because I couldn't bear the thought that Faye was in a grave situation. When the doctor opened the door, the only thing he could say was sorry and that he had tried his best to save Faye's life.

I can't fathom how everything transpired so quickly; they caught and detained Ares, but sadly, my sister had already passed away, and it was too late to save her.

When the front door opened, it was Felicity running to see Faye. She was panting and crying at the same time. Her eyes were full of worry and anxiety, and she looked at me hesitantly. She didn't want to know the truth, but she opened her mouth and asked, "W-Where is my daughter?"

Fabian stroked my upper back, then looked at me and said, "Let me take care of this. Stay in the SUV with Ella."

I put my head down and didn't want to leave because I knew I should blame myself again. I sniffled nervously.
