Chapter 35 Get Off Right

Adrian, left behind by Adeline, mumbled to himself, "Adeline? Maybe Adele for short? That's a really beautiful name..."

When he looked back up, he noticed that Adeline had walked quite a distance ahead of him. He hurriedly shouted after her, "Hey Adele, wait up!"

All Adeline wanted to do was to leave this place as soon as possible. Ethan and Chloe should be worried sick by now if they noticed she had gone missing.

With that in her mind, she couldn't help quickening her steps. This upset Adrian who was already having a hard time catching up to her.

"Hey, Adele, slow down. Where are you off to in such a hurry?" Adrian asked in amusement.

He really had a flickering mind, Adeline thought. Just a little while ago, she was sure that he had been thinking of strangling her to death. Yet the way he had just called her was as though they were close friends.

Adrian hastened his steps and managed to cut in front of Adeline. With furrowed eyebrows, he said, "I th
