80. The fire of jealousy

Despite the dismal way in which she had arrived here, Kiara admitted that the Nightfall Pack was a beautiful place.

The great war had broken out here long ago, but the Alphas in charge had made sure that the remnants of it could no longer be seen. Now what stood here was a beautiful and peaceful place for the werewolves to live in. It was a vast expanse of land with the Alderidge house in the center surrounded by its subjects, a kingdom-like arrangement.

Clove parked the car, and they got out. They walked into the crowded area, it was no longer the pack-house that was there but the sort of shops that Kiara noticed each building offered something different. This morning, Clove had brought some medical supplies from Rosemary that she had to buy from the market, and since the woman said she wouldn't keep Kiara in her house like a prisoner, Kiara decided to tag along.

She was relieved when Clove seemed happy to have someone to keep her company.
