Dave arrived at the manor alone; Daniel and the others are still in the packhouse. He was greeted by Gwenna at the entrance.

"You're back! thank goodness!" She trotted towards him, followed by Rosemary, who had a bright smile on her lips.

His heart was instantly flooded with relief to see that his people seemed to be in good condition.

"Where is she?"

"She's in her bedroom." Gwenna immediately knew who Dave was asking about. "She doesn't know you will be arriving today. But it's good! It'll be a surprise for her. Be careful, Dave, don't shock her too much."

Before he stepped inside, he thanked Rosemary and Gwenna for all they had done in his absence.

In the main hall, several servants greeted him and said congratulations as soon as they saw him. They thanked all of them. He had stopped by the packhouse earlier to clean up and change, there was no way he would meet his wife with the remaining blood of his enemy still on his clothes.
