The storm hit so early and so unpredictably that most of them had very little time to prepare and were left rushing to save themselves and their loved ones.

If Dante and Angeline had planned their attack, they chose the perfect time during Kiara's late pregnancy. Just a few days before the heir to the Pureblood Pack would be born, the first child of Dave Malion.

Unfortunately for her, when she needed him by her side the most, he was not there.

He left her under the protection of the manor and the pack alone.

"You must be strong, Kiara. Promise me that you will be strong for me, and our child."

She still vividly remembered his last words, which left a hollow in her heart.
