Lucy's pov;Matt and I arrived at the museum in no time flat, it wasn’t that far of a drive from our apartment to the museum and we had planned on spending the day there , just me, Matt, and a small amount of our own belongings. The weather was pretty nice so I figured that would be okay. But then when we got there, it turned out that there was snow everywhere, so now my plans have changed quite drastically. I mean, how could I possibly enjoy any kind of art exhibit while the snowstorm is outside? I guess you can call it an unfortunate coincidence but it definitely didn’t help me with my decision making skills. So now, as we make our way through the crowds, my heart sinks lower and lower every second that passes, until suddenly I find myself standing by Matt, completely frozen in place as I look at the giant statue before us. It’s one of those statues with all the classical sculptures in the front entrance. My eyes are fixed straight ahead of me, not looking at anything or anyone a
Lucy's pov;"What are you doing here?" Tyler asked as he was eating his breakfast on his hospital bed. The last two days had flown by in a blur and it was hard to believe the time had passed so quickly. "Wasn't it obvious? I came to see you. How are you doing , by the way?" Tyler looked around the room before turning his attention back to me. He smiled at me softly before speaking again. "Won't your friend look for you if you're not with him?" I shrugged my shoulders before replying. "He's got work, don't worry.'' I said as I tried reaching out for some fruit but ended up grabbing an empty juice box instead. "So you're here with me because he got work suddenly ?'' He nodded slightly as he stared at me, obviously waiting for me to answer his next question. I thought for a moment before responding. "If you don't like me being here, then I'll leave." When I stood up to leave, he held my hand and said, "I was just kidding , relax. Please don't leave. It's been three days sin
Lucy's pov;The aquarium was full of life. The water was dark blue and clear, with a few small fish swimming amongst the coral, and some larger animals like sharks and stingrays, occasionally swimming near the surface. "Did you really buy any tickets for today?" I asked Matt, as we made our way down the hall from the lobby. He put his hand around my shoulder saying, "Yeah! of course I did!" His laugh echoed through the room. "We're going to have so much fun." He smiled brightly at me, squeezing my shoulder gently before letting go. "Don't worry. It's going to be great.""Sure," I said, trying hard not to let it show on my face. Since I was having a lot of trouble concentrating on the conversation that was supposed to be taking place next to us, I couldn't concentrate on the situation right now. As if he had felt my tension, Matt's expression grew more concerned. I nodded and continued walking with him exploring the different attractions until finally we came across the shark tan
Lucy's pov;At the hospital, they didn't allow me since it was past visiting hours. When I tried to leave, "Lucy! Lucy!" Daniel called out to me as I made my way to the entrance. I turned around just as he came out of the stairwell door."Hey, what are you doing here?" He asked. "I came to see Tyler." I answered. "You could have talked on the phone or something. Why bother coming all the way here?" he said. "Yeah but I want to meet him in person." "Why? What kind of questions do you have for him now?" "Did he say?" he shook his head and said, "Nope! I eavesdropped a little." I rolled my eyes and asked, "Tyler… Is he awake?" "Yeah," he sighed and said, "he's been talking about you all day." "About me, Why?" "Because of the question you raised against him. I don't get why you asked him such a question anyway! You know that he likes you, right? Then why did you ask him that?""Well, yeah, but he keeps saying that he likes me because of my honesty which I'm not. If he likes me
Lucy's pov;Matt took me to the hospital where Tyler is recovering from his leg injury. He said, "Tell him the truth." and left me in the lobby by myself. I climbed the stairs and came to the cooridor where his room is. As i took every steps towards Tyler's room, my heart felt like it was going to explode in my chest. When i finally reached the door of the room, i knocked twice on the door. Tyler didn't respond, so i let myself inside the room, which smelled like hospital chemicals. Tyler has a cast that covers part of his left foot. "Lucy!" his face brightenes up when he saw me, but then his eyes went back to the pain as the doctor told him he has to keep his foot elevated for 2 days. The doctor said it will make his recovery easier, because there was no pressure to move his foot around. I sat down next to him and put my hand through his arm. Tyler grabbed my hand with his right hand and squeezed it hard. He looked at me and his face softened. "What are you doing here? You sh
Lucy's pov:The waves crashed into the beach, splashing white water everywhere, as if to prove how powerful they were. As I was watching them, I felt myself being pulled down by a surge of memories. They weren't exactly memories, but they weren't exactly not memories either. They were like...a puzzle piece you find when you're playing video games and realise that it's missing part of the picture. I could feel the pieces in front of me, but I wasn't able to put the whole picture together with the pieces that I had yet. That is to say, I still wasn't entirely certain what my 'piece' was meant to be. It didn't make sense, though. Not even a bit. My life was pretty confusing to be honest. So many questions unanswered, so many problems looming over my head. But I wanted this feeling to stop. For one day at least. Even for just one second. This strange feeling that I just couldn't shake off, no matter how hard I tried. And the longer it stayed there, the more uncomfortable it made me
Lucy's pov;At school, Alex, "I thought you're dead when you didn't show up for the past week ," said with a smirk as he entered the classroom and plopped himself onto the desk next to me. He was one of those kids that everyone loved to hate. The kind that just had no respect for anyone else. I guess we're all like that in some ways. Casey, "How bad was your fever that made you miss half a week of school?" I sighed and put my head on my hands. The bell rang and class began but I just sat there in my desk chair watching them talk back and forth about who knows what. The teacher walked in and started our lesson. The whole time I kept staring at the clock, counting down every second until it hit 3.30pm. When 3.45 came around, I bolted out of the room before they could call after me. While I was walking to the entrance, I spotted Matt standing outside the gate. Why is he here? When I diverted from my way, Matt started calling out my name loudly enough for everyone to hear. It w
After getting out of the car, I walked into the house that was given to me by Ivan. I had been here for a week, and I already hated it so much! It had everything you needed to make a comfortable home but also nothing in common with mine. The kitchen table, for example, would never fit my desk. Not that I needed one. But I could definitely use it. I closed the door behind and laid on the bed. It's been five days since I met Tyler at the hospital. Daniel and Matt have been calling me nonstop since then, too! I've been ignoring their calls until this very moment. Maybe if I ignored them long enough they would stop trying! How am I going to get those documents to Ivan in time? Should I go to his office in person? No, that might look suspicious, but I don't have a choice right now, do i? I changed my clothes and walked out of the house. After some time, I came to Tyler's office. Everyone greeted me as I entered and walked to Tyler's cabin. After checking the CCTV camera
