CHAPTER 2   

The black limousine pulled into the school car park announcing the arrival of the bash girls as they were popularly called in school. 

The first of them Anita Jack stepped down from the car, adjusted her black sunshade and in a stylish way swirled her blonde hair to the back. 

Next was Emily Jack, she was known as the queen, because of the aura she commanded and how good she was with bullying. 

As expected she stepped down, taking her camera up the air so she could update her followers on I*******m how it is going in school today.

Next was Nina Jack, everyone believes she's the puppet in the group, she constantly ran errands for the girls but she cared less because she also got the same attention as them. 

A few minutes after the Bash girl's arrival, Ava's Porsche moved in. 

Just like the regular girl she is, she stepped down hoping to sight Nicole immediately. 

While trying to sight Nicole in the hallway she bumped into someone. 

“Omg, did she just hit him!” 

“You are done for Ava.” 

“How dare you touch him.” 

“Oh God! Save her soul.” 

“She's so lucky.” 

Crazy comments kept coming from the crowd in the hallway. 

Ava looked up after picking up her iPad that fell and she left her mouth open in a gasp! 

He was too hot to behold. 

His dark hair permed neatly to the back and parted sideways in front. 

His eyes were silver blue and his arms were so broad, his strong jawline made him exquisitely out of the world. 

He looked like a demigod. 

Ava's thoughts were cut short when his voice came on. 

“Hey !” He snapped with brows slightly raised. 

“Uhmm… I'm so sorry I..I bumped into you.” Ava said in-between her breaths struggling to digest just how hot he looked. 

The students kept looking in awe, some began the chats in the crowd again. 

A few started complementing his deep voice and others were talking about how hot he was. 

“You should be.” He added and pushed her one side before he continued to grace the hallway with his steps. 

Ava looked at her iPad which had cracked and then kissed her teeth while she turned back to look at the demigod she was drooling over a few minutes ago with so much anger. 

"What rudeness!’ she thought. 

‘Today was really set out to frustrate me I guess’ She whispered to herself while she found her way down to her class. 

INSIDE THE CLASS

“Hi Ava, I've missed you so much.” Nicole said running towards Ava immediately she sighted her coming into the class. 

“And that's why you couldn't take my call?” Ava said, pouting while hugging her reluctantly. 

“Hey come on, I'm really sorry I missed your call” Nicole said smiling sheepishly. 

Ava sighed while she held Nicole's hands as they walked down to a corner in the class. 

They both got to the middle section of the class and sat down. 

“Hey Ava, I heard you bumped into the demigod.” Emily said standing in front of Ava with the other two bash girls. 

“I’m really not ready for your trouble Emily, it was just a bump.” Ava said, adjusting on her seat while she folded her arms to her chest. 

“I know!” Emily said, smiling. 

“I also heard he gave you a piece of what you wanted too.” Anita added and they all bursted into a laugh. 

“Can you let her be now!” Nicole said, rolling her eyes. 

“Oops.. we will, I guess you need to recover from the lessons, next time you won't drool over what's mine.” Emily added before she walked out of their space. 

“Today really has a lot to unfold.” Ava said, pulling out a pack of juice from her back. 

“What happened?” Nicole asked with concern on her face. 

“It's my mom, Nicole.” Ava said, gulping down the juice with so much speed. 

“You'll choke yourself with this, stop it” Nicole said as she took the juice pack from Ava. 

“What did she do this time?” 

Ava was about to answer the question but their form tutor entered the class which made everyone quiet. 

“Good morning, all.” 

“Good morning, Ma.” They students chorused. 

“Welcome for the new and of course your last section at Brill Hills.” The tall lady with short blonde hair said. 

“I urge you to take your studies seriously, meanwhile you can continue and wait for your lectures” She said then left the class. 

After a few hours of classes it was time for a break. 

Everyone left for the canteen, so did Nicole and Ava. After grabbing their lunch, the duo made themself comfortable at one of the tables. 

“So Ava, what's up with your mom?” Nicole enquired. 

“She wants me married.” Ava said, dropping the fork she held immediately. 

“What!” Nicole said, leaving her mouth open in shock. 

“That’s it Nicole and I honestly don't know what to do.” Ava said, breathing out slowly. 

“Oops, hold on, to who?” Nicole asked with her eyes searching Ava's face. 

“I honestly don't know, I'll be meeting him today.” Ava said with her lips trembling and tears threatening to leave her eyes. 

“I'll join you home then.” Nicole said with a pat on Ava's upper arm. 

They quickly completed their meal and went back to the class to complete their lectures. 

School was closed, Ava and Nicole walked down the hallway together heading to the car park, then Nicole's phone suddenly rang. 

“Hello, Nicole.” A male voice sounded over the phone. 

“Hello.” Nicole answered, trying hard to hide the fear in her voice. 

“At the park, by 2:00 pm, don't be late.” The masculine voice said hanging up immediately. 

“Oops Ava, I guess I won't be joining you home again” Nicole said, swallowing as though there was a lump in her throat. 

“Hmm… it's okay, I'll call you” Ava said disappointedly, dragging her feet until she hopped into the car. 

The ride back home seemed so fast, it was almost as if she flew back home. 

Ava stepped down and walked into the mansion, rushing to her room, so she could dip herself into the bath tub and refresh a bit. 

Almost immediately she stepped into the bath tub, Jenny called her attention to come down in a bit and have a meal with the guests. 

Quickly she got herself into one of her jeans skirts together with a white half top. She complimented her dressing with a pink gloss and packed her hair into a bun, some hair flowing freely on her forehead. 

She looked into the mirror with a mixed feeling in her eye and then she whispered  

‘I’ll just marry for freedom.’ 

Ava took the stairs, with a feeling of both anxiety and happiness, this was weird. 

Earlier today she was sad, but the thought of being free from her mom's shackles made her happy a bit. 

Getting to the table she sat down and wondered why no one was here yet. 

“Ava, your mom is outside, she wants to bring the guest in.” Jenny said as though she could hear Ava's thoughts. 

“Ohh, okay.” Ava said almost immediately with so much anticipation in her voice. 

“Thank you for honoring my home.” Mrs. Sarah's voice sounded at the door as she moved in with the guest. 

Ava rolled her eyes, there's something about this scent, she perceived it earlier today as she bumped into the hot guy. 

‘It can't be’ she thought. 

With her head slightly bowed, she said in between mumbles. 

“Good evening.”  

“You look pretty.” The old man said with a broad smile on his face. 

She looked up slightly and smiled back at the man. 

Everyone sat down and just as Jenny was about to serve the meal, Ava and Ryan's eyes met. 

Ryan adjusted his tie while Ava angrily threw the fork on the table clenching her fist as she ran up the stairs back to her room.
