Chapter 5

It’s been a month since I last saw Jack .

His texts were literally everywhere and he was begging me to see him , but I have been avoiding him even though he knows that I have been doing that on purpose .

An affair that would cause another big scandal wasn’t exactly what I was looking for and I was doing everything in my power to avoid that even if it meant that I had to stay away from the man that I loved so much .

As I packed the clothes that I wanted to take along with me , I wondered how it would feel leaving this place .

It was evening already and I was getting prepared to leave for My dorms , I wasn’t spending the next day here even if my so-called friend wasn’t coming with me , I am definitely leaving her behind .

It was already 6pm by the time I was done packing up , I knew my parents would be home anytime soon and it was best that I didn’t show my face to him , I didn’t want to get any more insults from him , it was the last thing that I needed at this point .

Jack texted me that he was still going on with the divorce . As much as they tried to keep it private , the news was already blown over , I didn’t know if it was just here but that divorce was ongoing even though the both of them still lived in the same house .

I wasn’t guilty , guilty that I was ending that marriage , I wasn’t but I didn’t want to do this and I just don’t get why he keeps on pushing me to do this even though he knows that it’s against everything that I stand for .

Once I was done dressing up , I walked out of my room and downstairs .

By the time I got to the dining room , mom was already seated with my sister and my dad .

“ What took you so long to arrive? "Mom asked me as she munched the food into her mouth .

“As much as I didn’t want to get into any question or any fight with them , I just wanted to defend myself but I knew that it was best that I shut my mouth .

Dad didn’t bother raising his head to look at me , he acted like I wasn’t existing or I wasn’t here and that is how it has always been and I wasn’t even bothered by his character , I could care less about the way I am being treated .

We are heading over to Addams family house. I am sure your friend must have enlightened you about it .

What's going on there and whatever it is that you are going there for , I don’t think it has anything to do with me.

“ you are going hazel and that’s final , don’t get me angry , my dad screamed at me and I shut my mouth almost immediately .

My phone binged and it was a text from Jack .

I am so sorry I had to do it this way , but I don’t think I can hold it anymore , a day away from you will kill me “

The moment I read the message , I felt that beads of sweat break inside of me , I was done for .

I could only imagine the looks on my dad's face when he found out that his daughter had been shoring around , that could be the end of Mr .

We arrived at their house and just the moment our car stopped , Venessa ran out immediately and hugged me .

“ Never thought you were going to come , why did you change your mind? “ she asked after greeting my parents .

I was about to say something but my phone rang again and this time it was a text from her dad , stating that I met him in the back room.

I quickly shut down the phone once I was done reading it , I could only imagine her face if she found out that was the one .

“ Well I think we need to talk , it seems you are hiding a lot of stuff from me and I don’t appreciate that “ Venessa said seeing the way I hid my phone from her so she don’t read my text

“Well , you hid a lot of stuff from me too and I want to remind you so that you should stop being judgmental , no one is perfect .

Venessa pulled her arms off mine and then walked away , just exactly what I thought would happen .

Once we got in , I noticed my dad had gone to talk with her mom and that was exactly when I sneaked away. I desperately wanted to see him , he had to make me understand what his plans were .

Once I got there , the door suddenly opened and I was pulled in , this was something he loved doing to me over and over again .

I broke away from his hold and turned to look at him , he had a big smile on his face right now , but I wasn’t having it .

Sorry for giving you such an impromptu meeting but I think you should know that I love you and I want to end all of this now .

Jack was going insane , his words alone were disgusting the hell out of me .

“ Maybe you should shut that mouth of yours , what are you even thinking ? Did you think that you can just go in there and ruin my life , what are you even saying?

Tell me, what are my parents going to say when they find out that their daughter is a whore , you are going to keep all of that to yourself and not even a word will be heard until I have decided to , whatever affair we both had was nothing but a joke.

You are going to go out there and tell them a different story because I am not going to ruin my life just because of a dick .

“ but I love you princess and I want to be with you , I will choose you everytime “

Maybe since you don’t want me going on with this divorce then there is something you can use to compensate me for that .

I knew exactly where he was going , I wasn’t going to do that , not now , this was the wrongest time .

He didn’t listen to whatever that I had said but the next moment , the only thing that I could see was my gown being pulled up and me being pushed against the wall .

“ You whore” Venessa screamed at the top of her lungs as she ran away .
