Chapter 92 - Plans To Usurp

Abel’s POV

I sat across the table from Ezra, it had been a while since we had met. I had gotten so accustomed to phone calls and texts that I nearly felt like a phantom that has been ignored for a while now.

“ How are you enjoying your stay here in the US?” Mr. Vanderburg asked.

“ It brings back an intense feeling of nostalgia. I nearly feel like a dinosaur,” I had a serious tone but my words reeked of humor. My deep, whisper-like voice which some people describe as psychotic and similar to that of Joker came naturally with sarcasm.

“ You don't say,” Mr. Vanderburg wheezed. “ Sometimes, I forget you're American,” he commented.

“ True, even I too forget about my very own origin. I'm already in my early sixties and yet it feels like I've been lost for a little too long,” I frowned thinking about the past. A waiter came over to our table and refilled our wine cups.
