Chapter 75 - Getting On Mom's Good Side

Anastasia’s POV

We sat in the car rather quietly after the incident of his memories. I was glad the kids were in a different car from us, the tension would have been too much. I nervously tapped my fingers on my thighs as I bit my lower lips, the more I thought about it, the sadder I became.

As much as I know I might have overstepped my boundaries and pried a little too much, I couldn't handle his silent treatment. I felt like bursting up in tears but then, I would be playing the victim card if I did so. It would only make it look like he was the one at fault.

I felt his warm hand clasp my hands which rested on my thighs as he supported his head with the other hand while looking out the window.

“ I'm not mad at you,“ he spoke in a calm and tender tone.

“ But I-I crossed the line,“ I stuttered.

“ You didn't. You're my wife, you have the right to know about my past so I'm sorry for not keeping my temper in check,“ he looked at me as he apologized.
