“Maisie, where did you go?”

“I went to find Laura but I couldn’t find her,” Maisie told Ava honestly and sat down. Then, she glared in the direction where Bill’s office was. “He must know.”

Ava understood what Maisie was trying to say, and she comforted Maisie, saying, “Alright, don’t be mad. I believe you. Those things online are all fake. You and Mr. Lowe are innocent.”

When Maisie heard Ava say that, she felt much better.
