Roseline's POV

I could clearly see the hunger and his eyes as he kept on staring deep into my eyes. He was capable of devouring me with a single glance.

Conflicting emotions washed over me—uncertainty, nervousness, and a flicker of curiosity intertwined with a powerful attraction.

On one hand, I felt drawn to the intensity of his gaze, enticed by the possibility of delving into unexplored realms. But a cautious voice within me urged restraint, reminding me of the potential risks and outcomes that lay ahead.

Before I could decide between right and wrong, I found him hovering above me. His presence engulfed the space around us, creating an electric charge that pulsed through the air.

One of his palms pressed beside my head while he stroked my lower lip with the thumb of his other hand.

"Roseline," he said slowly, as if he were tasting it against his tongue. I could feel his minty breath evoking my senses.

This my 4th book by this author and every one that I read was worthy. Not sure if this one seems to be going slow bc of how the chapters get updated or if the storyline is just drawn out. All the other ones were complete when I started reading them, that might be the difference. Gems rewarded ntl!
