Chapter 5

Hazel's Point of View

There was a pin drop silent in the room and I could hear how my heart was beating softly.

"You will marry him, whether you like it or not, " My father said coldly. Not minding to be polite anymore.

"Alpha, I said I am not marrying him, whoever he might be, I don't want to know because I don't care. I will not marry him. I am not the only child you gave birth to." I yelled at him angrily and the tears I had been holding in flow down my face freely. I'm very angry and also hurt at the same time. My heart was bleeding and it looked like I was going to die anytime soon.

"You know I hate it when someone disobeys me. I can kill the person for that." He said coldly. I'm sure he meant what he said. I can see that in his eyes "Hazel, don't make me angry or else I might order you to be killed. You are just a wolf-less Omega and you dared to talk back at me." He said with a low growl and my body flinched.

The little confidence I had in me shattered instantly. I opened my mouth to talk but no word seemed to come out. I closed my mouth and forced back the tears that were brimming in my eyes.

"The Alpha is already on his way here and he will arrive anytime soon. I want you both to look at your best and none of you must embarrass me. And you Hazel." He directed his gaze to me "If you dared to show any sign of discomfort or you did not try to please him..." He paused and shot me a warning gaze "You won't like what I will do to you afterward.". He averted his gaze away from me.

Another drop of tears roll down my cheeks. Why is my life this miserable? What exactly did I do wrong? I don't remember. My birth is a curse itself. No, I must not give up. I won't give up no matter what. I won't marry the man I barely know. That must never happen.

"Father, I will not marry him. I heard he is so cruel, do you want to get me killed? Is this your way of killing me?" I roared angrily and rose to my feet. My body trembled in anger. More tears flow down my face freely.

"Shut up, how dare you talk to Father like that. You are to marry a very powerful Alpha and you are behaving this way. You should be happy that father wanted to find you a husband. Do you think anyone will want to marry a white-haired wolf-less Omega?" Ella asked with a raised brow. Her voice was full of mockery. I clenched my fist tightly. This is what she has been doing to me for the past years. All she does is mock me for my weakness.

"You are a very weak useless girl who can't even protect herself. I will advise you to make the Alpha like you or else. You will die single. No one wants you okay? It's not like you are special.". She taunted.

No matter how I tried to stop myself from crying. I can't. I hate the fact that I can't control my emotions in front of these useless people. Ella is right about what she said though. No one wants me. 

"Ophelia." My father called and I raised my head. My eyes were soaked with tears but I still managed to see through the tears.

"Yes, Your Majesty," Ophelia said nervously. She's already shaking and it looks like she will collapse in the next moment.

"Take Hazel to her room and clean her face. Do her makeup again and you must be quick about it. If you dared to stay long in the room. I will make sure I cut off two of your arms." He threatened and Ophelia trembled even more.

"Noted Your Majesty." She said in a stuttering voice. She walked over to me and escorted me out of the throne hall. It was as if my soul was sucked out of my body. There were no traces of a smile on my face and my face was a little pale.

I'm glad that Ophelia didn't say anything till we reached my room. She is the one supporting my body because I can't seem to walk properly. We entered the bathroom and she helped me clean my face. We both stepped out of the bathroom and I sat on the chair before the mirror like I did earlier. There are no tears in my eyes anymore. I look so down and pitiful.

I closed my eyes and let Ophelia start applying the makeup on my face. Today is the worst day of my life. I've never been this miserable.

"My lady " Ophelia called out softly and I opened my eyes.

"You will be fine." She assured and I nodded. I can see doubt in her eyes. She's also not sure of what she said. We both know that I will never be fine. 

Though I did not know who the Alpha was, I could tell he was a bad person with the way Ophelia had once described him to me. I know he will even be worse than what the rumor said about him.

"Do you want to eat something before we go?" Ophelia asked with a raised brow and I shook my head. I don't have any appetite to eat. Even if I force myself to eat. I'm sure I will vomit it in the next second. I should save myself from passing through the stress.

"Let's go." She said softly and helped me up. We both went back to the throne hall. I didn't bother to greet anyone this time and find a quiet place to sit.

A guard suddenly entered. Nervousness was written all over his face. He bowed to my father immediately "The Alpha of the Dark Knight pack is here."
