Chapter Twenty Four

I missed my dad so much, it had almost transformed into a physical thing. The only real family I ever had was miles away from me and slowly drifting towards death. With the new health facility, he might stabilize for a bit and stay a year or two longer than the doctors had predicted earlier. However, the bottom-line was he would leave me soon.

Nathan tried to take away some of my loneliness but he was invisible most of the time. I was served the most exquisite breakfast and lunch selections along with exotic white wine and sparkling water. The hotel staff treated me like a queen no doubt about it but I still missed being treated as Daniel's wife.

"Do you want to go shopping?" Nathan asked.
