Chapter Six: Jealousy

"Baron! Sit down!"

Instead of following what he said 1<0, he remained standing in front of me and was shocked.

I sighed. I expected her to react like this when she found out about me and Lucas.

I can't stop myself from telling him. We have something in common, and he is one of my friends that I know I can trust even though we have a past. Well, we broke up fine and I also agreed to stay friends even if our relationship didn't work out.

"W-how did that happen? I mean.. did your parents agree?!" it adds more. I looked up at him. It seems that until now he still doesn't believe what I said. At least I'm the same, but what can I do, I have proof that I'm married to Lucas.

"Long story..." I said lowly.

We are currently in the grounds of the mansion. In the wide lawn and then in the middle of it there is a gazebo, where there is a circular table and now Baron and I are sitting here to talk. There was also food in front of us, but I just stared at it. My whole thought was that I would only see tall trees here. But when Baron took me to his clit, I couldn't help but be totally amazed.

Baron sat in front of me and stared at me. I sat down properly when he reached out and held my hand. I couldn't help but stare at it. It's still like before, I can't feel any electricity when we hold hands.

I secretly cringed just thinking about it. Why does he suddenly appear in my mind?!

I suddenly remembered what happened last night. After he pulled me away from Baron and left the open balcony, we went straight to his room. I thought we would talk but no, he just left me and told me Cloon to sleep.

I held my breath. When I woke up earlier, he was not in his room. When I went out to ask Helen's heir, I found out that she was in her office doing some work. That's when Baron entered the scene.

"I'm ready to listen Maria..." I heard Baron say. I looked up at him. He smiled slightly at me as our eyes met. I sighed again. What else can be done 1<0. He will know and he will also know the reason.

I started talking to him. From the beginning to the present he knows. I could see how he was surprised by my every story. I wonder why my mother did that to me. It's a question why they didn't appreciate my decision. They say that I have a decision of my own.

It was lunch time when we returned home. Baron and I also talked a lot. He talked about his life in Manila, about what happened to our friends there. I couldn't help but laugh because he exaggerated like telling a story.

"What?" I also laughed at the question. We are currently walking towards the kitchen.

"We saw him on the dancefloor and people were looking at him because his dance was strange. Hanep Mars, he was like crazy there. We videotaped it and showed it to him the next morning, he almost punched us all because of that."

I laughed out loud at what he said. I almost cried when he told one of our friends. We even joked before finally reaching the kitchen.

I was the first to get in there, and I lost all my laughter when I saw who was sitting at the end of the table. I stopped walking.

We stared at each other while crossing his arms over his chest. I swallowed in no time.

"Oh Mars, isn't my story funny anymore?

Baron was also stunned by what he was going to say. I feel that he also stared at Lucas.

"Oh, you two are already here. Sit down and we can eat." Helen said while placing the dish on the table.

I didn't immediately move from where I was standing because Lucas was staring at me. I couldn't see the jaw clenching.

"Mary.]'

I almost jumped in shock when I felt the Baron whispering in my ear. I turned to him who was now grinning at me. He came and put his arm around me. I'm tired of him.

"Come on, let's eat. Manang's cooking looks delicious.." he said smiling at me and led me to the table.

 

Manang Heln seemed to hear that and thanked Baron for his comment. I looked up at Lucas, and I was secretly surprised to see how his eyebrows met. His jaw moved once more and he was staring evilly at the thing on my shoulder. I gasped in shock when I found out what it was.

I immediately removed Baron's arm from me. He was surprised by what I did and looked at Lucas. Instead of being afraid of the evil look he gave her, she grinned at her cousin.

"Where do you want to sit—"

"He will sit here next to me." Lucas said deeply.

I almost jumped in shock when he suddenly took the seat next to him. You almost fall over. We looked at each other and he still looked at me evilly. Manang Helen disobeyed him for what he did. I wasn't supposed to sit next to him but he called me again.

"Maria.. you are here by my side." He deeply commanded. I just swallowed and followed what he said. Baron and I looked at each other before finally approaching the seat near Lucas.

"Alright.. I'll just sit next to you Maria.." said Baron happily as he turned to 1<0.

I widened my eyes at him but he just raised an eyebrow at me. I was secretly cursed. One thing I hate about Baron's behavior is that it is difficult to read the situation. But I know he can read what's going on, maybe he's just enjoying teasing his cousin.

Lucas didn't seem to like what he heard from Baron. But instead of being afraid of Lucas' evil look, he ignored it and sat down in the seat next to me. I just sighed and sat down.

Manang Helen was in the other seat, we were facing each other. But before we started eating, we prayed. After that, I couldn't help but look at Lucas, his eyebrows were still raised, his jaw was still set.

What is going on here?

I just started taking kamin, not just a lot, then a dish cooked by mother-in-law Helen. I was about to take a bite when Baron suddenly spoke.

"Oh, that's all you'll eat?" this question surprised me. I looked at my plate and turned to him. I nodded in response to his question. It suddenly grinned.

"What's your diet? As far as I know you can eat." he suddenly reached for the ladle to take some rice. I was so surprised that he put it on my Plate! Wait!

"Baron! I might not finish it!"

"What the hell, you're just stopping yourself from eating. Manang's dish is so delicious." he also took a dish and added it to my plate.

I gave him a bad look but he just grinned at me.

I looked at my plate with a snort. So many. Can I consume it?! I'm still a bit full from earlier.

I looked again at Baron who was happily eating. I kicked his foot under the table. He screamed in shock because of that.

"Ouch!"

I ignored him and just started eating. I smiled when I noticed the bad look he was giving me. The whole idea is that he will not retaliate. But I was surprised when he kicked me too, harder than I did to him. I gasped in pain.

"What the hell" I said to him annoyed. He just scolded me again. I kicked him but he also kicked me back. Argh. I'm tired of him. I faced Helen's heiress.

"Manang oh, Baron is kicking..l ' accuse. Instead of scolding Baron, manang just laughed.

"You could be the first." It's still my fault.

"Well, you spoiled my food! I can't finish it." I blame back.

"Well, you don't eat like that. It's your pig. We're in Manila, how much extra rice do you buy even though you have a lot of rice in your pocket!"

I could not speak what he said. It's true. But because I was really hungry those days! It's different now!

"Stop now. You are in front of the food." Manang is still happy to scold us.

 

I just hit him on the arm to get revenge.

"Aray! You're really the A****n!"

This comment made me laugh. I just gave him a hard time and continued eating. He did the same.

"You seem close to each other. Were you friends before?' Manang asked. I swallowed in no time and turned to Baron.

I suddenly felt nervous. I turned to my right side, Lucas continued to eat. I swallowed again and stared at my plate.

"Yes man, we used to be friends. Then we upgraded, we became friends!" Baron's story.

I hit him on the arm again. Manang just laughed again at our behavior. I looked at Lucas, as usual, his eyes were focused on what he was eating. Hi.

"It's a case of us going back to being friends again, because this Maria is the art..

I turned to Baron when I heard. "What art?!"

"Oh. You are really artistic. When I flirted with you, you always returned my gifts to you.." he explained. "Then he can't give me the thing I asked him.." he added. My eyes widened because of that.

"Hey Baronâ€" I didn't finish what I was going to say when someone suddenly appeared next to me. I gasped when I remembered Lucas. It's 00 o'clock!

"I'm done." I heard this. He pushed his chair back with a bang and walked out of there.

I thought he was going to leave for good, but he stopped by my side. I bit my lip and bowed. Why did I forget that he was here!

"Go straight to our room, Maria. We need to talk." that's all he said and started walking away.

I looked up and followed his body that was now out of the kitchen. I couldn't move right away. Shit! Why did I forget that he was with us at the dinner table!

He must have heard what Baron was saying. He must have heard everything! Argh!

I looked sharply at Baron. I hit him on the arm again, but now, harder!

"Argh! You talk so much Baron! You're annoying!"

"Aray! What the hell! Stop it Manang oh! Won't you save me from Maria?!"

I stopped hitting him. I gasped because of that. I looked at what Lucas came out with.

I just sighed and turned to Baron. The mokok was grinning and you thought it seemed like it had succeeded in what it wanted to happen. I just made him suffer but he just laughed at me. I just continued eating 1<0.

It's good and I finished the food on the plate 1<0. Baron was even ahead of me even though he added that for the third time. So, who among us is greedy?

I helped clean the table. Baron helped Manang wash Plato.

The two just talked while I continued wiping. When I finished, I said goodbye to both of them.

"Oh, where are you going?" Baron asked me.

I looked at him then pointed at the ceiling.

"In Lucas' room." I replied. He stared at me for a moment before turning away. It grinned slightly. I just turned my back on him and walked out of the kitchen again. I hadn't gone far when I heard Baron's shout.

"Tell your husband not to be too jealous. After he said that, I heard his laughter in the kitchen. I stopped walking. My eyebrows rose at what he said.

Jealousy? Lucas is jealous? Impossible!

I felt like I was floating while walking to the second floor of the house. I was thinking about what Baron said. Lucas is jealous. But how can it be jealous? Why is it jealous? What is he jealous of? Maybe you will reprimand me. Just based on the timbre of his voice earlier, he was holding back.

I swallowed in no time and continued walking. I could hear my heart beating as I walked down the hall. I passed my room before I finally reached the front door of Lucas's room.

Take a deep breath Maria. Maybe Lucas won't eat you, right? You are his wife. Hold on to that first.

 

I raised my hand and immediately knocked on the door. I knocked three times before I heard Lucas's voice.

"Come in."

I took a deep breath before slowly opening the door. I didn't go in first, I took another deep breath before walking inside.

When I entered, the familiar design of his room appeared to me. To this day I still can't help but be amazed.

The whole room is fully furnished, from the ceiling to the floor. There is even a carpet on the floor as if it would be a waste to step your dirty feet on it. Even the furniture, looks old fashioned and well taken care of. The walls are painted into beige or, most of the things are brown, the curtains are dark brown, and the bed.. Goodness, just like that, the comforter that is there is dark brown.

My eyes searched for Lucas, but I noticed that he wasn't there. I raised my eyebrows, where is he?

"I'm here.." I heard him say as if he heard the question in my mind. I sighed when I heard his voice from the balcony of his room. I was about to walk towards it when he entered.

We both looked at each other, I was the first to look away from him. I stayed where I was.

I noticed that he walked closer to me that's why I couldn't help but look at him. I swallowed when our eyes met again.

The serious look on his face. I pulled back unconsciously when I felt that he was only a few centimeters away from me. But he grabbed my left arm and pulled me closer to him.

I stopped breathing what he did. I closed my eyes when I felt the electricity flowing from my hand again. This feeling.

"Are you really in a relationship with Baron?" its beginning. I looked up at him. It still looks at me seriously.

I nodded in response to his question. I noticed the movement of its jaw. He tightened his grip on my arm and I felt one of his hands wrap around my waist. I immediately put my arm between us. I tried to push him but I couldn't.

He didn't speak. He let go of one of my arms and wrapped his other hand around my waist. I just saw myself sinking into his chest while I felt his head leaning against my head. I felt his kiss there, along with a few cheap ones he released.

"I thought—fvck." he didn't finish what he had to say, he hugged me tighter.

I couldn't do anything but remove my hand between us and hug him back. It was stunned by what I did but he immediately recovered. He crouched and nuzzled his head into my neck. I closed my eyes, I can't deny that it felt good to hug Lucas. It's like it's so comfortable when I'm in his arms. I don't know how many minutes we were in that position until he spoke again.

"What does Baron means about—I' didn't continue what he had to say and shut up. He removed his head from my neck and stood properly. He stared into my eyes. I swallowed because of that and waited for what he would say next. But instead as he continued what he was going to say, he looked away from me.

"Means about.. what?" I will ask. I tried to catch his gaze, but he only became more nervous.

He sighed and looked at me. I gulped at the way he stared. As if it had something to convey.

"About you.. not to be able to give the thing he wanted.." he finished what he was going to say. I was not immediately speechless by what he said. I swallowed when I knew what it meant. I was the one who looked away from him.

Goodness. I cursed Baron one more time in my mind 1<0. That man can really taste me. He got ready.

"Maria.. tell me.." he grabbed my chin and looked at her. I stared at his gray eyes. I bite my lip a lot.

"What does Baron mean by what he said. What

Is that something you can't give him? Because what are the things that enter my mind to know that. Is it something important to you? Is it something.. that should be mine?" the last thing he said was almost a whisper.

I just stared at him. I want to tell him that what Baron is asking of me is not appropriate.

But I don't know why I can't speak.

He hugged me again. I felt him kiss my head. I swallowed when I smelled his scent again.

"Fvck. I hope I'm wrong about what he's asking you for." This is it. He slightly loosened our embrace and looked at me again. He smiled then spoke again.

"Because I'm fvckingjealous. I'm jealous because I can see how close you are to each other. One evidence is the way the two of you talk to each other. You're comfortable with him.. so .." he didn't finish what he had to say again. I swallowed and stared into his eyes.

I don't know how I will react to what I heard from him. Goodness, how did Baron know Lucas was jealous? Why would he be jealous of Baron? Just because of our closeness? Maybe the two of us will be close in the near future, won't we?

I stopped thinking when he suddenly hugged me again. This time, I feel like he won't let go of me the way he hugs me.

Very strict. It's like I'm afraid of losing it.

"..I'm afraid that you might come back to him.."

My lips parted when I heard that.
