(Emily's POV).

“We finally love each other.”

Those were the words I told Linda. Her expression of surprise with her red polished lips became gaping.

I nodded my head to let her know that she hadn't heard wrong. “Yes. it is true. You didn't hear wrong about that.”

“But, how come?!”

I smiled to myself remembering how we initially confessed to each other. Linda hadn't even heard the biggest news yet.

“And I'm pregnant with his child.”

I held my stomach in front of her and she was even more surprised. She heard two pieces of news at the same time, and I'm sure she didn't expect it to happen to me.

I don't think anyone would have expected to have such a beautiful outcome with Mike. I never thought that I would be able to love him, even to the point of getting pregnant.

I thought too, who would want to be with an old man like him? I mean, sometimes age matters, right? But I was just mesmerized by him, the charisma he showed and how handsome he was every day.
