(Emily’s POV).

“Are you ready for the first time to check up on your pregnancy?” Asked Mike when we were in the car.

I nodded my head with a smile. I was a little nervous because this was also my first time being pregnant when I aborted my first pregnancy as soon as I found out I was pregnant with Ben.

I sighed as I remembered that painful moment. I had Mike by my side, who was now my husband and treated me so well.

His car started to leave my house and headed towards the hospital where his friend worked.

It was like this, having someone who had everything, even a friend who worked as an obstetrician. It felt like since being with him, I had never lacked anything.

When we arrived at the hospital, Mike held my hand and never let go. Sometimes, I was afraid that someone who knew me saw us. I wasn’t ready for them to know about my current relationship because it wasn’t time yet anyway.
