Something Expensive

Jiang Xiuying pulled the car over as she got to the front of an Hospital. She removed the earphones from her ear and looked above her right shoulder.

" You...." Jiang Xiuying intently stared at him. " You are Chinese right?" She asked speaking Mandarin Chinese.

Si Feng slowly nodded his head. He removed the baseball cap he was wearing and tightly held on to it. There was no need to hide his face again. He sensed she didn't have any intention to hand him over to the police since her car was parked in front of an hospital.

" Why did you take that man's money? " Si Feng heard Jiang Xiuying's melodious voice in his ear. He raised his head up and was surprised by her beauty. She looked just like a goddess with her almond shaped eyes showing some sort of curiosity. Si Feng gulped twice to use his saliva to wet his suddenly dry throat.

" My mother is sick and I'm in need of money to buy her drugs." He replied with his head lowered down. He felt embarrassed that he was caught stealing by a girl that looked very stunning and obviously younger than him.

" Hmm....that's good but are you aware that the money you stole won't be enough to buy her the medicine she needs and you would eventually need to steal a lot of money. " She turned her body to the side to have a clear look at him. Si Feng ears turned red. He was getting more embarrassed with every minute he spent in the car together with her. He knew it was right he told her since she appeared to be quite rich judging from her car. She might take pity on him and give him few dollars to buy medicine for his mother.

"You are lucky I was heading to this hospital when you entered my car. Dr. Yukira would be very glad to help you. Let's head inside " Jiang Xiuying stepped outside the car and waited for Si Feng to alight from the car but he didn't attempt to get off.

" I know my car is nice but you have to get out now " She knocked on the window of the backseat. " Tch....Let's go" She announced as Si Feng got out of the car.

" Are you sick in anyway. Why are you visiting the hospital? " Si Feng curiously asked as they entered the hospital.

" You should worry about the outcome of your meeting with Dr. Yukira rather than my health " She smiled at him. After a while of walking amidst the silence between them, Jiang Xiuying spoke up.

" I'm here to ask Dr. Nelson about my daughter's condition. She fell ill a few weeks ago and had to be hospitalized. You can be rest assured. I'm not sick. "

Si Feng looked surprised. His mouth formed a big ' O ' he didn't expect a young girl like her to have given birth to a child. " Oh...I'm sorry to hear about that. I hope her illness is not something serious? "

" Something serious? It's actually more than serious. My baby is in a coma for crying out loud " Jiang Xiuying said with a smile. Smiling every now and then was the best thing she could do to keep herself sane. Her eyes refused to produce more water so she was unable to cry. Si Feng looked much more surprised. He opened his mouth to offer her some words of comfort but was interrupted.

" We are here!! " Jiang Xiuying exclaimed in her sweet voice as she knocked on the door following a particular rhythm.

" Good day Dr. Yukira, this is my friend... er..." Jiang Xiuying looked at Si Feng. It had just occurred to her that she didn't even know his name at all.

" Si Feng " Si Feng offered to complete the sentence for her.

" Um...yeah. This is my newly found friend Si Feng... " After the introduction, Jiang Xiuying and Si Feng discussed with Dr. Yukira for quite a while before they left his office.

" Thank you very much Ms. Jiang. Words alone cannot explain how I actually feel. I will forever be indebted to you " Si Feng bowed deeply to express his gratitude.

" It's okay. You don't need to feel indebted to me. I'm lending you the money for now but I will still collect it with interest. I'm a business woman and there is no such thing as free meal in the world. You can be assured that your mother would be well taken care of . " She smirked and entered the elevator.

" By the way, what's did you major in your university? Do you have a job yet?" Jiang Xiuying curiously asked.

" I majored at Computer Programming and I'm currently working part time by handing out flyers to people on the street. " Si Feng let out an embarrassing chuckled. He kept on embarrassing himself in front of the beautiful lady.

Jiang Xiuying nodded her head and handed him a business card that had the Lu Family logo inscribed on it. Si Feng received it with shaky hands. It was said that whoever receives the Lu family card would have his life change for the better.

" Visit the head office on Monday and show the receptionist the card. I wish you good luck " Jiang Xiuying patted his shoulder. At that point, the elevator dinged and she stepped out of it.

Si Feng kept on caressing the Logo of the Lu Family . Everything seemed so surreal that he could hardly believed what happened to him in the span of three hours.

*Grooooowll.....*

Si Feng heard the growl of a stomach. He knew it wasn't from him and the only person it could be from was Jiang Xiuying who was walking ahead of him.

" Darn it....I'm so hungry " Jiang Xiuying rubbed her tummy. She remembered that she was about to alight from her car and head into a restaurant to eat when Si Feng entered her car and ordered her to drive.

" How about I buy you a meal. As a sign of appreciation and also to ease your hunger. " Si Feng carefully offered to treat her to lunch.

" With the stolen money?" Jiang Xiuying turned to him and pointed her chin in direction of his trouser pocket.

He blushed in embarrassment for the nth time. A bigwig like her won't be comfortable eating with a stolen money.

" Treat me to a meal next time when you already have a well paying job, a car and a house. I will eat something expensive in a fancy restaurant that you would reserve for me to dine there. " She waved at him and got into her car .
