103. Still Not Believing

“Your mother still didn’t believe you after you told her everything and showed her the evidence?” Stella asked Marvin.

Marvin nodded. “She said the evidence wasn’t valid. She claimed it could all just be a coincidence. It’s ridiculous, isn’t it? What baffles me is that Mommy still trusts that snake of a woman even though she’s been a victim herself? But what she said really made me furious."

“What did your mother say?”

“She said that Fanny felt cornered, so she lashed out. And she even understood why Fanny did it. Is she insane? What Fanny did almost killed you. And my mother was almost accused of being a murderer, yet she excuses it."
