"Oh no," I mutter, looking at my reflection in the mirror.

After showering I get dressed in the only thing I have on hand that isn't my wedding dress: a lingerie set meant specifically for my honeymoon. When I walked in, I should have paid more attention to what I was bringing with me.

The problem is that the special and magical night won't happen. Instead I find myself stuck with a husband, whom I barely know, and for whom I feel an attraction to which I remind myself, I can't give in to. An attraction that doesn't make sense.Despite the spark that we feel between us, there is no way I can allow that to happen.

The lingerie is cream-colored. A lace corset that runs from my breasts, down my waist and to the panties, which flirtatiously cover half of my buttocks. I chose the outfit very carefully, thinking of Sebastian, but he's never going to see it.

Sighing, I decide that I can't go out dressed like this, or else the rest of the night will be an ordeal. I take one of the bathrobes instead and put it on so as to cover the expanse of bare skin.

Levi is waiting for me outside the bathroom. He is lying on the bed. He has taken off his shoes and is wearing only his tuxedo pants. He looks incredibly sexy in his relaxed pose. My imagination runs wild for a moment, and I can see myself straddling him, running my tongue down his naked chest. The image makes me blush, and I turn away to pour a glass of water from the glass carafe on the bedside table. I can't allow him to see the effect that he has on me.

"Are you done?" he asks. I nod and stand next to the bed, combing my hair and carefully avoiding his gaze.

"Yes. You can go take a shower now." Is the only thing I can think of saying. I need him gone from the room so I can gather my thoughts. And now, damn that man, my thoughts are of him, naked and perfect in the shower. His gorgeous body, slick with soap. I blush even harder, somehow sure that he can hear my lascivious thoughts.

He stands up and walks past me. He stops in front of me and looks at me. When I raise my face to look at him I see the slow smile creeping up his lips.

That confident smile, laden with sensuality, has a note of danger that puts me on alert.

Levi descends towards me, and the surprise causes me to fall against the bed. I am left with the weight of my body resting on my elbows, while he rests his hands at my sides.

"It's a pity you decided to bathe alone," he purrs. "Not just because our marriage is pretend doesn't mean everything else has to be."

He turns away from me before allowing me to ask him about it. Without another word he goes into the bathroom and leaves me on the bed, feeling like my heart is about to come out of my mouth. Again, I think of the shower. This time, in my imagination I join him. He slowly massages shower gel into my back..and then lower....

As we are alone, I think about the seriousness of this matter. My body burns with desire for him, and I can't deny it. At the same time, I feel too confused by everything that has happened when I give in to my desires.

I think about it when Levi comes out of the bathroom, followed closely by a cloud of steam. He wears only black boxers that leave the rest of his skin bare. His wide, shapely musculature is like a mountain. I am riveted by the perfection of the magnificent lines of his body. By the Goddess he is impossible to resist!

Looking at him I notice that Levi is in fact covered head to toe in tattoos.

But they look good on him. They make him look sexy, imposing and dangerous.

He has damp hair and is drying it with a towel. He stops in front of me and looks at me curiously. I try in vain to remain calm, but it is obvious to both of us that he can easily distract me. His perfection is maddening. He would be far easier to ignore if he wasn't so damn sexy all the time.

"I thought you would have settled down to sleep by now," he says.

Levi looks at me shrewdly, his smile pulling at the edges of his lips. It's as if he can read my thoughts about his body.

I gather courage and shake my head. "I was thinking, on what you said, and I agree."

He perks a brow and doesn't move from his spot. "You do?" His lips twitch and I know he wants to smile, but I don't give in.

"You are right, we are both adults," I tell him cautiously, "You can do your own thing privately with another woman, while I can see another man, it seems…"

Before I can say another word I am frozen in my spot with his furious gaze. "Never, you hear me?"

I nod quickly and shut up. I already made him mad and I don't want to make things worse. Him sleeping next to me angry is the last thing that I want.

Instead of coming to bed though, he walks over to the couch and starts pushing the cushions aside.

"What are you doing?" I ask, although I can already tell what it is.

"I'll sleep on the couch," he replies calmly. "I suspect you might not like the idea of us sleeping in the same bed."

Levi is too big, I think. He won't fit comfortably on the couch.

"You don't have to," I say, trying to make my voice sound calm. "I mean... You're right, we can share a bed without any problems. That doesn't mean something has to happen between us."

He looks at me curiously. I can tell that I've surprised him.

"Are you sure?" he asks, tentatively, "I wouldn't want to make you uncomfortable."

"Of course," I say, trying to sound more confident about the idea than I really am.

Levi walks slowly to the bed, as if to give me time to regret it. Finally he settles down next to me.

I look at him, trying to stay calm as I arrange the pillows to lay down.

I think that, as tired as I am, I am going to fall asleep right away. But right now I can't do anything else but think about the man next to me. That perfect body of his. His unexpected kindness toward me. The attraction I feel but cannot act upon. He's driving me mad.

I wait for sleep to come to me, but it doesn't happen.

What I do feel is a distinct presence. Levi moves closer to me, letting his body brush against my back. His hand wanders quietly around my waist and settles against my belly.

Immediately I feel my body tense, but not for lack of desire.

"What are you doing?" I whisper, turning my face so I can meet his.

His lips are so close. I lose myself in them as I look up at him, noticing how his hand starts to move down from my belly and to the top of my lingerie.

"We don't have to do this," he answers between whispers.

"Do what?" I murmur.

"Pretend we don't want each other," Levi affirms.

His body brushes closer to mine. His erect manhood rubs against my buttocks, causing me to let out an involuntary moan.

Levi smiles triumphantly, and I hate my treacherous body for betraying me. And I hate him for knowing my body better than me.

"We are adults," he repeats tantalizingly. "We can be physically involved without being forced to have feelings for each other."

My eyes close. As he speaks, his hand moves down my underwear, caressing my body in just the right places.

All my nerve endings seem to have concentrated exactly where Levi touches me. How does he do that? How does he know?

"I don't know if that's... the best idea," I whisper breathlessly.

"Then ask me to stop. And I will," he replies.

My lips open, but not a word comes out. Levi takes advantage of that. His mouth finds my ear. His tongue begins to toy with my lobe while my lips emit a moan.

"Levi, I..." I whisper, completely surrendered to the sensations I'm feeling. Not only is my mind betraying me, but my body is craving for more of him. This amazing, mysterious, dangerously hot man is managing to make me lose my mind.

"Ask me to stop," he whispers again. "Ask me to stop if this is not what you want."

His fingers begin to skirt my lingerie, then slide inside it and brush against my sex.

"Ask me..." he whispers again.

His shaft presses against my buttocks. Right now, all I want is to give myself, to feel him inside me. I would forget everything for one night if in return I can surrender to him, to these feelings that overwhelm me, that drive me to madness.

"I can't," I finally murmur.

"You can't what?" he replies with his fingers moving dangerously close to my entrance. I feel his fingertips getting wet from my arousal.

"I can't ask you to stop," I murmur.

"And why is that?" he asks against my neck. I sense the smile on his lips and crave them for my own.

At that instant, I decide to tell him to not think about it any longer. I'll face the consequences later.

"Because I want you," I answer.

My self-control then collapses. Desire seizes me, as Levi plunges his fingers into my intimacy. Excitement grows inside me as my back curves, responding with pleasure to his stimulation.

My body turns and Levi wraps his arms around my waist. His mouth seeks mine and in the midst of the frenzy, we meet. His tongue crashes against mine as he grabs me by the hair and pulls me against his body. My chest brushes against his as my breasts rise in excitement. I feel him murmur against my mouth and then lower.

His fingers enter me deeper. I can't stop thinking about how much I want him, but at the same time, I feel too confused and overwhelmed by everything that has happened.

He starts to take off his boxers, and the sudden realization of what is about to happen makes me stop him.

"No. Wait..." I whisper, suddenly afraid of what we are about to do. Of losing control.

But in the midst of my disorientation, my hands brush against his hardness. He is firm and ready for me. As I feel it, I can't help the desire that gnaws at me for him to possess me. My hands take his manhood without being able to avoid it. My fingers get wet from his arousal.

He raises his face, lets out a moan and then a grunt as he pushes himself against me.

"Go on," he whispers, urgently, "I need you. Please.."

At this moment I can't think. My hand begins to move against him, moving up and down his erection with desire.

I want him inside me, in my mouth, to feel his taste... And in my body, penetrating deeper, deeper and stronger until the boundaries between his body and mine are completely erased…

"Don't stop..." he orders me again, and I find myself turned on even more by the commanding tone of his voice. It makes me ache to please him.

My hand quickens the rhythm. The free one tangles in his hair. He starts to move down with his mouth and with his free hand he shreds the thin layer of lingerie covering my breasts. I feel him take one of my nipples into his mouth. The sensation is so delicious that I can't contain my moans at his name.

And now, I'm the one asking him not to stop. Levi changes position, he places himself between my legs that are now spread wide open. Our gazes meet as my hips thrust against his fingers, and as my hand rushes up and down his tool. His mouth leaves my nipples, and as I feel the orgasm finally hit, his lips find me, just as my back bends to the impossible and release the orgasm all over my body.

His body tenses as well. He releases a grunt and then, the tension leaves him. His teeth close against my lip, until finally his tongue finds mine. And in the midst of desire and pleasure, we lose ourselves.

At this point, I realize that what happened today will forever change my life. This is the point of no return, and I don't think I want to return either.

Except for the incident we had at the beginning of the evening with Sebastian, the rest of the night has been peaceful; a few rumors and curious glances, but nothing I haven't gotten used to by now.Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if tomorrow's local news headline talked about what happened. But I also realize, to my surprise, that I don't care. Levi has shown himself to be able to take care of me, and it's something I'm grateful for.He has demonstrated a new side of his personality. Unfortunately, so has Sebastian, I think. The way he has tried to publicly humiliate me shows that he really doesn't care about me. In fact, perhaps he never really did. An annoying sound pulls me out of my reverie. It buzzes and buzzes around me, like a bee. It makes me grunt and open my eyes until I finally see it's my phone."Shit," I say, seeing who it is. Levi is next to me. He is sound asleep. Carefully I get out of bed and grab my robe, hastily put it on and go out to the balcony so I can talk. At my feet lay the clothes from the night before, reminding me exactly what I've been doing for the past few hours and the reason Levi is as exhausted as I feel."Hello?" I answer in a whisper."I can't believe you did this to me," Rose says on the other end of the line. Her voice is broken. She's obviously been crying. Rose has always been like that, a very sensitive and sweet girl that I've always taken care of, because she has the ability to emulate that kind of aura, as if she needs protection.I have always taken care of her, and for the same reason, we are very close. At the sound of her voice my heart breaks and I can't help but worry

If you'll come with me, I'll try to make amends for that mistake," Levi points down the hallway leading to the kitchen. Matt and I follow him.The kitchen is spacious and exquisitely decorated. It has a center table island made of black marble. Matt and I sit down while Levi turns around and goes to the refrigerator, pulling out things to make breakfast."I don't trust this guy," Matt says in a whisper, standing very close to me."'This guy' is my husband," I scold him and punch him in the arm. I was definitely not expecting that. “If you let me out, then I will kill him,” he says, eerily blankly, “If I escape, I will kill him. I can’t help it. So you will need to kill me to ensure his safety.” “I don’t, I mean, I can’t do that,” Hope tells this strange creature in revulsion at the idea, “I will turn you over to the authorities. That is the only thing I can do. The only thing I will do.” “Very well,” it says, “They will probably kill me then. It is for the best.” Then the man begins his terrible shift back to the beast it was when he was captured. In a matter of moments, the man inside him is gone forever. I shiver at the thought of it. And at the howls that start up again the moment the shift is complete. “Dan is safe,” Hope tells me, her voice unsteady, “It worked. Thank the Goddess.” “You did excellent work,” I tell her, “You were the only one who could

But just to be extra careful, the doctor and I want you to follow up with the medicine that you would have been prescribed if you hadn’t been healed. Antibiotics and doses of anti-venom. Every twelve hours for the next week.” I’m still shocked by this turn of events, but Dan seems to be handling all of this incredibly well. Ah, to be young again. “No problem,” he says with a smile, “I’ve got my life back! I’ll take whatever you think is best.” “And even though I know you feel great,” Hope continues with a smile, “Just do me a favor and humor me on this. Get some rest for the next week. But Dan has been hurt, and if August has brought him to Hope’s place, he must be grievously injured. There is no time to waste. “My love,” I tell him softly, ‘I’m so sorry, but you need to wake up.” My husband stirs, and he looks so perfect lying there in bed that I want to make love all over again. But we need to go. “What is it, my love,” he asks, raising an eyebrow, “Are you ready to try the handcuffs on you this time?” “I am,” I tell him, “But unfortunately, that’s not why I woke you up. It’s terrible, and I absolutely hate it. But with my current financial situation, it’s the best that I can afford. Believe me, I’ve looked around.” I am horrified at the thought of a sixteen year old boy staying at that place. It is not a good place for anyone to stay. But anyone under eighteen staying there turns my stomach. Especially Dan, who is innocent despite what he has been forced to live through. Unacceptable. “Then tonight you’re staying with us,” I tell him firmly, “August, you take him out there to that terrible place to get his stuff, and bring him back as fast as you can.” “Are you sure,” Dan asks me, tentatively, “I mean, it’s so kind of

I thought he would be more stealthy than that.” “Yeah, so did I,” I tell him, thinking, “Where do you have him?” “We brought him directly to the place you said,” he responds, “That really was the best move.” The place he refers to is a facility I had my men create specifically to hold Sebastian. It is modeled on the facility he will ultimately reside
