Saira's POV.
"Hey." His soft voice did crazy things to my heart reminding me how I had missed hearing it today since morning.
"Hello." I responded trying to look nonchalant "What brings you here?"
"You." he answered simply making my breath hitch in my lungs.
Don't fall for his charm Saira.
"Really?" I said hoping it sounded sarcastic enough "I had been there inside you know, if had wanted to meet me."
"Zavi. Would you have spoken to me if I would have approached you inside?" His eyes twinkled in humour having read my intentions accurately.
"What do you want?" I snapped trying not to question m
I hope the chapter has been a good read. Mira throws in another confusion before clearing the last one! Stay tuned guys to know more and also remember the upcoming cruise! Please do vote and comment. Love, from me to you.:)
Saira's POV. Clutching at the cushions in my attempt to stop them from rolling off the bed I almost tripped over my own feet. Easy does it Saira- you can do it without causing a bed disaster. I sighed in relief when I placed them securely on the other side of the comforter. Taking my eyes off them at last I almost toppled over backwards as I met with the dark eyes watching me unflinchingly- not looking pleased at all. In my attempt to overcome my clumsiness I had completely forgotten about him. "Are you comfortable?" I asked in a rush. "Is that what you had been trying to do till now?" my fath
Saira's POV.\ "I do realise I should have an appointment to meet Mr. Norcross but this is urgent." I said trying to maintain the smile at the old frowning shrew at behind the counter. She reminds me of my warden back in hostel whose primary motive in life seemed to be to frown upon everything youngsters did. "No." I sucked in my breath - taking a long deep breath. I would need to do that a couple of times more to overcome my urge to want to rip this old hag's nose right off her face. I know she is doing her duty but her mind frame is showing on her face when she is giving me the look that screams 'Gold digger stop chasing my stunningly good
Saira's POV. How can he just announce we are leaving for a cruise in two days' time? After our Visit to India three weeks back things had finally started moving positively towards my mother's recovery. And now she is back with us, her family. A smile played on my lips thinking about how happy my father had been on seeing his beloved wife alive. My mother who had been getting flashes of memory for so long now had her memory almost completely restored. She still suffers a few lapses once in a while but they would be momentary and she would be fine almost next instant. Being with her family was helping my mother immensely. Leonardo Norcross had a b
Saira's POV. She has such a soothing pretty name. "Agnes I am just an employee. But since I work directly under Mr. Norcross I am quite – um -acquainted with him." She nodded, though the surprised look was still there all over her face. I cannot blame her for that. Mr Leonordo Norcross does have the reputation of being the short tempered hard task master. "This elevator is for the owners. Are you supposed to use it?" she asked pointing towards a sign. Damn! Now why did Mrs Brook point this one out to me? While I was still contemplating if I should walk towards the next elevator the door opened and Leonardo- well almost walked out.
Saira's POV. Mesmerised I stared at the magnificent Statue of Liberty as it towered above the water. I have seen it uncountable times while moving round in the city. However I have never really paused to stand and admire it. It has been eight years since I moved to New York but I have never really had the time or liberty to have fun or live the life the way this city offers for relaxing. Not that I have had any inclination to. Initial years of heartbreak mental stress and responsibility of taking care of my father had been the only concerns that my mind entertained. When one tries to gather the scattered pieces of one's life and mourns the irreplaceable losses, to make merry is not something that holds appeal.
Saira's POV. I narrowed my eyes at his comment "Of course I know Mira and her family. You know that I do!" His head snapped up as his eyes locked with mine for a brief moment before he swung his head in the direction of new arrivals. For a dynamic business tycoon this man can be really obtuse at times! I moved ahead only to have a hand grip my wrist halting me on my path "Where are you going?" He is the limit! "It is not obvious? To perform my duty!" "Zavi you do not need to." I heard an edge in his voice a
Leonardo's POV. I strode towards the group determined to drag Zavi away from that Sam character. "Mr. Norcross!" Michael Johnson greeted me cheerfully as I approached the group of people who had just boarded the ship. "Thank you for inviting me and other staff members with their families for this cruise." There was a chorus of 'thank you's' and 'we are really happy to be here Sir' comments from all around with some familiar faces walking up to me smiling broadly. As was my habit I barely acknowledged them and moved on- almost moved on before I remembered I was trying to be on a friendly conduct on this cruise. Besides, Zavi knew the Johnson's personally
Leonardo's POV. "Leonardo Norcross." I said moodily not attempting to return his smile. "Zavi will you help me to my cabin?" I smiled at her. "Zavi?" The not so good Doctor showed his surprise making me scowl at him. "Mr. Norcross calls me that." "And Zavi calls me-" "Let's get you to your room Mr. Norcross." Zavi did not let me finish. "I will help you Leo. Saira you can show Dr Leo to his room." Has Dhruv decided to be my biggest enemy for this trip. I glared at him and his lips pulled into a smile as though he just realised what he had done. "On second thoughts Saira, let's exchange the Leo's that we would help. I will show you your cabin Doctor." He said winking at me. "Mr. Norcross I am not giving you any painkiller presently however please do let me know if it pains too much. I will come over shortly and tie a crepe bandage." I nodded slightly. "I will tie the crepe bandag
