Lexa’s POV
In a matter of a few days, I had grown attached to the Lot Mansion. As I was already a maid, I was allowed into the mansion. This time I wasn’t coming for work. I wanted to meet Elliot and apologize. I know I might be getting ahead of myself but that wouldn’t stop me from meeting him.Nothing would send me away from him. Not even if he screamed at me.I didn’t want anyone to spot me so I would pass the main entrance. I hissed when I found it locked.“F**k. How do I take care of this now?”“Stay still.”That a voice I could recognize. It was the bot again. I turned to it.“I need help with this door so can you perhaps…”“Stay still.”Stupid bot. I stood still as he scanned me.The door automatically opened. “Sir, has recently only included you on the list of uninvited allowance into the mansion.”I smirked. “Is that soLexa hoped he’d place his palms over her eyes to wow her but… that did too.She lost her breath to the amount of jewelry she set her eyes on. Words weren’t enough to describe the riches held in the room. The room looked so smaller from the outside but rather spacey from the inside.Bars of gold took up a third of the room. Chests of precious gems poured out and filled the floor like mounts of rocks. There was an arranged set of jewelry, each kept in transparent boxes that were lined in front of the gold and diamonds which were kept at the back of the room.Every piece of jewelry was much more expensive than everything Lexa owned, put all together.“Elliot.” Lexa said the first thing that came to her mind. “These are worth billions of dollars! Where did you get them from?”He placed his cold finger on her warm lips. She always wondered why his skin was always cold. It not like she mattered if she screamed since the room was soundproof. He just wanted to tea
“Come in!”Nora walked into my room with a tray. A bottle of gin and a glass cup were on it. “How was your day with Lexa, sir?”Nora knew me too well. That was the reason she was still there. “You could say it was… interesting.”“What do you think Lexa feels about you, sir?”I poured the gin into a cup and gulped it in a single swallow. “If she’s the girl I met 547 years ago, I’m sure she feels me.”“You’re method of persuading her is very unlike you, sir.”I took another gulp of gin. “Yes, you’re right but Alexa is very valuable to me. I don’t want to lose her again.” Lexa’s POVI managed to escape mum once but this necklace is not safe anywhere. We have a very small house so hiding something this sparkly is a challenge.I searched for the perfect hiding spot, also thinking of where I could conceal it. Keeping this was trouble but this was the least I could do for Elliot. He really did a lot for me.I wondered why he did these. When I asked
Alexa wouldn’t do something this stupid. She was smart and coordinated. It was someone else.“Turn around, Elliot.”I could tell what it was by the sound of that beautiful voice. “Wow. I never thought an angel would visit me. It’s an honor, really.”“I’m an Angel. A messenger of the Lord.”“I know who you are. Since angels have a good memory I’m sure you know we’ve met before. You’re Liam Javeline?”“And you are the devil.”My fists tightened. Lot wanted to come out and destroy him but I had to relax and hear him out first.“What do you want?”“We will take her soon.”“What do you mean?”Liam took a step forward, showing he wasn’t scared of the fumes of anger that was emitting from me. “She was sent to distract you from your mission. She is a product of us. We will take he
I dialed his number and waited for a reply. It was a fast response.“Wow.” Hearing wow from his mouth really annoyed me. “You can call me after you made friends with Liam.”“Excuse me? How is my friend making any problem for you?”“He’s my business rival. Don’t get to close to him or he’ll try to get to me through you.”“Liam isn’t like that. He’s a sweet guy.”There was a short laugh over the phone. “You hardly know him and you’ve figured that he’s sweet.”“Don’t get me wrong but… Never mind. I’ll call Liam instead.”“Wait! Wait!”I smiled. Good thing he couldn’t see me. “Why are you begging? You feel that Liam will get me before you do.”He laughed again but it was rather a pathetic laugh. “I’ve already gotten you.”
“It’s clear that I’ve already done that.”She looked up to him with her pretty watery emerald eyes. “When?”“Wasn’t I the one that made you clean my room? I forced Brit down your throat.”“So we’re even?”“If you say so.”She laughed. That laugh unclouded her brain and made her body temperature normal. Elliot picked her off the floor and cleaned her tears.“Don’t you ever wonder why I was ready to kill myself so I wouldn’t be with you?”He dressed her scattered hair. “Why?” he asked, giving eye contact.“My family was always a holy one. My father did his best to instill utmost holiness into us. I followed it but I didn’t know how my siblings could still harbor hatred for him. It was all a f*****d up sham. They did terrible things to me. Why do terrible things always happen to me?”&ldq
I got down from his bed and looked for him. I couldn’t find him anywhere. I faced the vintage wall clock and interpreted the time. It was seven minutes past seven. I wondered when he brought me here. He’s such a sneaky scoundrel. I glanced at what I wore. I was in a white nightdress. I panicked, was it Elliot who changed my clothes. I wouldn’t take it lightly with him.I might be his mate but I deserved respect too.I cooled my anger and searched for food. There was nothing edible in his room. It was frustrating.Someone knocked at the door. I ran towards it, hoping he was the one. I opened it but saw Nora instead. She smiled and entered the room.“Good morning, Miss Halton. How was your night?”I didn’t believe it. The same woman who was my senior some days ago became my maid today. This type of lifestyle was lavish. I loved it.“Once again, call me Lexa.” My mouth watered when my
He went to page 400 where Seareign’s story started. Some boring history of Seareign started it. Elliot skipped through the pages, looking for anything useful. He was a speedy reader. Lexa saw how fast his eyes moved along the lines of the sentences.Lexa’s eyes caught a page. It had the picture of a seawater gate. Elliot didn’t notice it and was about to flip away but she stopped him.She took the book and went a few pages back. “Look, this page is talking about Seareign’s gate.”Elliot smiled at Lexa before looking down to the pages.<The gate of Seareign is made of the molded tears of mermaids that lost their lives in the battle with the black Kraken. It took three mermalian years and it was sculptured by the best crafters of Seareign. The gate has no weaknesses. It forms a great unending barrier at the lengths that the gate does not reach.Any non-mermaid that touches t
***We were at the shore where our submarine was kept. Lexa was excited to see a submarine. She only saw ones on TV, thoughtless of entering her personal one.Lexa’s life slowly changed since Elliot entered it. Her life was boring and pathetic. She knew that something important was missing in her life from the day she entered High school. She always wondered why she was different, why she wasn’t like the rest. She knew why. She was never complete. Her mate wasn’t in her life then. She always knew that an important part of her was missing. She became complete the first day she met him.He was her miracle.Elliot talked to the man in charge of the submarine. Lexa stood beside them, waiting for the discussion to end.“Bring it to the shore. I want to impress her.”He winked at me. The man smiled and shook his hand before leaving.“Pray those eyes of yours won’t put you in troub
