"Is your mate okay with you running off with me like this?" Dani was sitting in the passenger seat of Waylon's car, her backpack at her feet, his duffle bag on the seat between them. The door slammed open and Dani blinked as sunlight flooded into the room. Fear rushed through her body as she sat up on the bed, blinded by the flashlights that shone in her eyes as men came pouring in through the door. Alpha Vos was driving, while Luca sat in the passenger seat and stared out the window, half expecting to see Dani out there, somewhere, staring back at him from the thick cover of the forest. The world had never felt as huge as it did now that she was missing. She could be anywhere and the more time passed the more true that statement became. It was unlikely she would be able to get a flight, what with all the security restrictions in place, and the missing person's report that he had filed, but he really didn't want to rule anything out.
