The door slammed open and Dani blinked as sunlight flooded into the room. Fear rushed through her body as she sat up on the bed, blinded by the flashlights that shone in her eyes as men came pouring in through the door. The only sound that she could hear, over the shouting of the men who had kicked open the door, was the pounding of her heart. Alpha Vos was driving, while Luca sat in the passenger seat and stared out the window, half expecting to see Dani out there, somewhere, staring back at him from the thick cover of the forest. Dani emerged from the bathroom, a towel wrapped around her body and another hiding her hair, releasing a cloud of steam as the door opened. She'd' been in there for a while and the pizza had arrived.
