CHAPTER HUNDRED AND THIRTY-TWO : CONTINUUM

Jade walked into a dimly lit pub where Deucalion was waiting for her. They had been secretly meeting up at this location for some time.

“You are late", Deucalion said revealing his slight displeasure with Jade’s punctuality.

“Well, I obviously had a lot of things to do. It isn’t easy to maintain an alter ego", Jade replied casually as she sat down and motioned for a drink to be brought.

“How is that going?”, Deucalion asked

“Just as we planned, it had been going well. Although they were able to detect my magic quicker than I hoped. Much quicker", Jade said

“So what do we do now?”, Deucalion asked.

“We allow my magic run it’s course.... that means no fighting", Jade said. “.... do I make myself clear? Resist the urge to get back at them”

“I am not sure reckless child Jade", Deucalion replied. “I can’t throw away all my plans and preparations for a cheap quest for revenge"
