Chapter 7 – First Meeting

Alice’s PoV

Monday has arrived and it is also the day where I go back to the academy. As I woke up, I felt a sharp headache, believing it was a hangover from last night’s excessive drinking, I immediately got out of bed and washed up before going downstairs to see breakfast has already been prepared. Looking up, I see my mother (the Luna) who’s in the kitchen, “morning!” She said happily whilst I greeted her as well.

As I sat down on my seat, my mother looked at me and held back a laugh as she sees my current state, “did you drink too much last night? I know you are of age now but look after yourself more, you look too tired for your first day of school” she said.

I nodded at my mother’s comment, despite she is a great Luna, she also acts as a great motherly figure especially with her nagging, but nevertheless, I felt my mother’s sincerity and warmth.

And after I was finished with breakfast, I went upstairs to meet my father (the alpha) at his office.

When I entered, a wife of faint pepper mint grass and lemon freshness scent wafted into my nose. Believing it was a nice perfume that someone may have used, I ignored the unexplained feelings within me and went inside the office.

As I see my father under a pile of paperwork, I also see 2 boys around my age sitting at the right-hand sofas, both of them have brown hair and eyes and not long I deducted that they are twins, seeing them was quite an amazement, I mean having twins within the werewolf society is very rare making me quite curious as why they’re here as well.

After a while, my father looked up to meet my eyes and introduced me to the twins, “so my son, these 2 here are Alfie & James. They’ll be here for the next couple of months to help around with your training duties as alpha. And the twins, this here is my son, Alice.”

After introducing us, we separated from my father’s office and we went to the academy together. On our way there, I found that despite how the twins are identical, Alfie is more talkative so in some cases they are differentiable.

As soon as we arrived to the academy. And as soon as I took my first step out of the car, facing the large mansion like building, my heart began to beat uncontrollably and I could feel the hysterical excitement within my wolf.

Not knowing these emotions were, I began to ask my wolf but he won’t reply so I decided to put everything aside and went to the office to get my timetable. After that, I went to my locker to collect some things when suddenly I was hit with this amazing scent, it was the same scent from this morning, but this time it was way stronger and much more alluring, but as I tried finding the source of where the scent came from, a sudden silvery white haired individual’s figure walked past and into the corner before disappearing from my sight alongside the sweet alluring scent.

Not knowing why, the person’s figure was stuck in my head, but at this exact time when I want to walk forward to find them, the bell rang, disabling me to pursue them but nevertheless, the figure was ingrained in my mind throughout the day.

Time skip

Jack’s PoV

Time flies by and now its finally my last lesson, Physical Education (PE). Everyone within the academy regardless if they’re human or supernatural were put through strict physical training and many who graduated here were known as the few famous world Olympic champions. And humans within this academy knows of supernatural existence and thus know why the academy’s training is so harsh.

As lesson is beginning everyone began going to their respective changing rooms whilst I went into the closest basement, hacking my way in before changing and onto the field.

As I got to the field, I see a bunch of people already gathered outside, excited to see the appearance of the soon-to-be alpha.

This was the 1^st merged PE session, testing everyone’s ability, allowing the future alpha to see everyone and build friendship alongside evaluate who in the academy is worthy to be his beta and third in command.

However, these were not the positions the girls were thinking of obtaining. As I walked past the crowd, I could hear whispers of becoming Luna. Normally the girls would not have such aspirations, but since the future alpha has turned 20 it means he would find his future Luna in the upcoming time and every girl in this academy believes they have a shot in becoming the future Luna and have overdressed themselves for a simple PE session.

Oh yes, just to make things clear, us werewolves unlike the myths, despite getting our wolf at 16, we were given a few years to cope with our new found power and friend before we could find our fated mate at the age of 20 where we are more mature and are able to handle stressful situations which may be hard to handle at a young age which I thought to be very considerate of the moon goddess.

Now thinking about it, I got my wolf at the age of 5 and I was told by Sophie I could feel my mate bond at the age of 16. However, lucky for me, I can seal part of my scent alongside restricting my mate bond until the age of 20 where the bond would become stronger and unenviable.

As lesson was about to start, a sudden scream came from the crowd of girls as they see what I believe, the future alpha approach. At this exact moment, a nice scent suddenly wafted into my nose (it was the scent of fresh salty sea and light fresh air, the type of scent I imagined for freedom). The sudden scent caused me to go into a daze and it felt as if my body is screaming to find the source of where the scent came from, but for some reason my mind said no causing me to block out these emotions.

Looking around, I suddenly caught sight of the twins, and with their appearance, some girls started hyperventilating which caused me to roll my eyes. But nevertheless, not knowing what was happening just then, I ignored everyone and kept walking forward towards the twins not knowing the existence behind me.

Just as I was about to reach them, a sudden spark went up my left arm before actually realising that someone was grabbing me from behind. Just as I turned around, a was faced with a pair of bright green eyes which memorised me and …. “Wait, stop stop stop, snap out of it!” I said to myself.

As we stared at one another, silence pursued between us until I finally snapped out of it and retracted my hand away from the man in front of me. At this point, the twins approached us with a smile, “hey Jack, did you miss us?” They smirked from behind me and just before they could jump me, I quickly ducked however, I did not realise that they have already planned this but just as I ducked, they grabbed onto me and put their arms around my shoulders causing a sudden growl to be heard.

As the growl was heard, I realised it was from the direction of the boy I was staring at before. Now turning around, I started to see the person in front of me, he was very muscular with a splendid appearance and attractive face which explains why the girls were flaunting over him. He had a pair of bright green eyes and messy brown hair.

Wow, I guess I have to admit he is handsome.

As he realised I was focused on him, he smirked causing me to cross my arms and look away whilst the twins were ignorant of what was happening and began to introduce us to one another, “So Jack, this is Alice, the future alpha and Alice this is Jack.”

Alice did not move his gaze from me and smiled before calling out my name causing a shiver to go up my spines.

And one question came to my mind… “what is happening to me?”
