Before they went on vacation

Vanna's POV

"Are you ready?" Magnus asked promptly; I know he doesn't want to support my idea. We had arrived at Roxane's unit. I could see her door. Magnus held my arms, signaling me to be gentle.

"I'm not going to hurt her, trust me." I smiled at him. He slowly let go of me and stepped back.

"I'll be waiting in the car, okay?" I heard him say.

"Okay," I replied.

Once I saw that Magnus was gone, I knocked on her door for the third time.

"Who's there?" I heard from inside. I didn't respond; I just waited for her to open it.

I stood there for a few minutes before she finally opened the door. When she did, I could see the shock in her eyes.

She was about to close the door again, but luckily, I quickly pushed against the gap and held it open to prevent her from shutting it completely.

"What are you doing here?" she shot at me with angry eyes.

"Can't I visit a friend?" I teased back. She had no choice but to let me in. She fixed herself up and silently allowed
