The Arrival
When I got back to the house, it seemed like everyone was happy to see Brice. Even Melanie was apologetic and had said she was sorry for accusing him. I couldn’t help but smile to know that my entire pack was back together again. Except, of course, for Sam who was with Starla still. But… at least Brice was back, and everything within the pack itself was good again.
Which isn’t to say everything was good. I’d gotten a text from Kayla a few minutes after dinner that said that they’d just arrived at the airport. I had no idea who all was with her. I didn’t ask any of my other friends if they were coming, and if they were, they probably didn’t have a lot of time to let anyone know since Mage Jaye had asked so quickly and hastily.

I did what I was supposed to do. I went to school. It wasn’t easy. In fact, it was one of the most difficult things I’ve ever done.
