His Intimidating Presence

HAZEL -

Two hours later, we finally arrive at the Nikolay manor. I step out of the limo and my breath hitches in my throat.

This reaction of mine always occurs when he's around in close vision. He shouldn't affect me so abnormally. I hated how my body reacts in such an aberrant way.

Surely enough there he is, an intimidating presence leaning against one of the pillars of the manor. Absentmindedly smoking a cigar, clad in a business blazer without a top hat or cane.

Attention skimming over his phone in one hand, he hasn't seen us yet.

My palms moisten in nervousness. I try to take cover behind Bev and Serge. Lately, the demon has been focusing disturbingly on me whenever we've crossed paths. The worst part of it all, he'd stare at my lips and then look me in the eyes. As if he was trying to communicate to me something inaudible just by that fierce gaze alone. Yet his overall visage was stony, which left me utterly perplexed.

And truth be told, I couldn't bare looking back into his eyes
