94. Pain

The lights blinded my eyes as they tried to come into focus. It was as if I was using them for the first time. I blinked severally as the white fluorescent of the hospital hurt my eye but I was defiant. I felt like shit as my eyes finally became stable and focused.

I felt like the floor of a cab or like I had been running through by a locomotive train. I was in a hospital garb and I had on a neck brace. I felt the needle inserted into my veins as cold fluids entered my system. I had never felt so weak and vulnerable before in my entire life.

I had an inkling about who was behind the attempt at my life. I was having a little trouble trying to recall what had happened exactly and I was anxious that there was something I had forgotten. My anxiety increased as time went by and I kept trying to recollect what was lost in my head.
