THE COUNCIL OF THE UNDERGROUND

~STEPHAN

I speed down the busy roads of the big city as I thought about what they wanted from me. They had done countless business in the dark with my father and now they wanted to get down with me.

There was just one problem, I was not my father and I had no intention of being so. I already knew that Frank would already be waiting for me at the rendezvous point.

The Council had its headquarters in the city metro among the numerous sky scrappers built to ensure the economic development of the city. It was the city of blood and honor, of murder and betrayal.

The Council was made up of bored old men and women who could no longer play the game. Veterans of the old gang wars, they made up the system in which factions could operate.

The Council had been an old ally of my father and it was only right that I paid them their duly visit even though I thought they were all bunch of egotistical old chrones who did not know when to give up.

I was glad when Father ha

OLD FLAMES~STEPHANHades Suite and Resorts was a mixture of Japanese and Arabia aesthetics. It was built like a regular building and had electronic devices installed but there was a luminous lilac color that shone throughout. It was soothing. Everything had been taken care of but so Marylin, our guide led us to another wall-installed elevator but this one ascended. The lift opened and we stepped out. I wanted Pamela to see this so bad. The view was out of this world. I could see the whole underground metropolis from here."Welcome to the penthouse Baron, Delmundo, refreshments are on the way," Marilyn announced as she sauntered into the room.I walked to the balcony and moved the sliding doors. I stepped out and looked down. I quickly had an inkling of how the light system works. An enormous led light panel dome covered the whole underground and filtered light down on the dwellers. It would take a colossal amount of money to run this place. The amount of energy it took to keep this p

    30. THE TRIAL OF DELMUNDO.~ DELMUNDOSheeva aka Lydia Phobos, was professionally cold to Frank and me for the remainder of the ride. The vehicle slowed to a stop and we were ushered out."Welcome to the Elysium Stephan, I hope you are prepared," Sheeva coldly remarked. The Elysium was a vast underground Roman-styled amphitheater with a large hologram projector in the middle. There were hundreds of people seated comfortably in fashionable attire. The entrance was elaborately constructed into the entrance of a naturally solid cavern. The lights were and the air was stable. Even the chairs were soft. How ironic was it to judge while you were comfortable? A lot of curious eyes peered at me as Frank scoped out a seat for us."Your seats have been reserved for you," Sheevah announced and indicated we follow her. There were installed stairs in between rows and we took it.My seat was special and brought me close to the hologram that displayed: The Council vs. Delmundo. 12: 00I smirked. I

A BUSINESS MAN~STEPHAN‘You keep what you get through blood.’ That was one of the Mafia rules. The rule was as old as time itself and it was adhered to with great reference. The Council had demanded the Tower due to the relationship it had with my father. He was obedient and did not ask questions when he dealt with them.Underneath all the obedience, he was observant and gathered information about the Council in the ledger he left me.It had been a valuable inheritance and it was what helped me with the Council."I admit Stephan, you have surprised me and I am not one to be surprised," Sheevah said as the vehicle drove us back to the streets.I said nothing. The damage had already been done and I was not the kind of person who had regrets."You should have given them the Tower, it's it's your father would have wanted, you just made a great enemy Stephan," Sheevah admonished me."Keep my father's name out of your mouth and stop pretending to give a fuck about me, you also get a share

FIRST RODEO~PAMELAThe dream I was having had me moaning in my sleep. It was a rather erotic one and it involved the man who knew how my body worked.I was roughly shaken awake by firm but soft hands. I jerked awake to see Georgia looking down at me with urgency in her eyes."Ms. Pamela, we are about to be paid an unwanted visit, get in your fighting gear and come with me, it's time to see if you learned anything," Georgia said calmly. My drowsy eyes cleared as I saw that she was covered from head to toe in a black ninja-esque outfit with the insignia of a raven on her left breast.I quickly got up and rushed into my closet. I grabbed my gear and hastily put them on, timing myself in the process. Georgia had taught me to be time conscious in dire situations.I came out of the closet fully covered in black. "Fifteen seconds is too long to get dressed Pamela," She scolded me as she lead me out of the room."Where are we going?" I asked in a whisper."We are going to hide," Georgia calm

    33. RACE WITH THE DEVIL'S SON~ STEPHANThe three vehicles had me locked in place as the man in the third Chrysler aimed with an RPG launcher. The Council meant business.I knew what they were doing, it was a tricky move, they would move away just in time before the man from the third vehicle launched his weapon. The man with the RPG fell back suddenly as his head exploded into blood and brain. He had already pulled the trigger of the RPG, and it had shot into the sky.An explosion rocked the sky. Frank "The Mad Fiend" Reed just saved my car. I was sure it could not withstand an RPG.Now my would-be assassins had someone else to worry about. The explosion had distracted my assailants so I slid down my windows and fired into each car simultaneously.I put three slugs into the car on my right and three into my left. I hit the two men with headshots on my left because they were closer but I could only get the shooter on the right. The driver was only grazed. The car to my car collided wi

    34. FAST LEARNER~PAMELAI stood still as the gun pressed into my spine. Nothing happened and I wondered why the person was stalling. The lights came on and I dropped to the floor and swept out my right leg, striking a foot that gave way. I raised my gun to shoot but the person recovered quickly. We both had our respective guns pointed at each other's faces. I realized that she was a Raven too. Why was she attacking me then?"Enough fooling around Minerva," Georgia's voice echoed from upstairs.Minerva? Why did that name sound familiar? She removed her face mask and I placed her the moment I saw her face.I removed my balaclava because I felt sick and suffocated. I had become a murderer.I saw her at the funeral of Stephan's father. It came as a shock to know that she was part of this life. Well, not really, I was just mad she put a gun to my back.Georgia came down from the stairs and inspected the bodies sprawled on the marble floor."I just saved her ass, I don't think she belongs

    35. BLOOD BOUND ON THE SEA~PAMELAMy curiosity was piqued the moment he said those words. My heart rose to my chest as I thought of the stories of his life up until now.Who was this man who was surrounded by mystery and deadly women? My throat went dry and I swallowed nervously. I was going down the rabbit hole on this."Will you answer any questions I ask you?" I sheepishly asked."I will try to the best ability," I answered him and got out of the vehicle.I unclipped my seatbelt as he opened the door for me. I had no idea where we were but I could tell it was a bay with a Cruise boat and yachts anchored down.I got out of the vehicle and the night cold caressed my skin. Where was the safe house? He held me by the hand and together, we walked to one of the boats. It was a big black-looking yacht. It had a military look to it but it also had the homely aesthetic.I was still in my gear and the cold was already seeping into my skin, I shivered as I followed his lead. The urge to sud

    36. LOVE BOAT~PAMELAI was worried about my safety and if you could believe it, for Stephan's safety as well. I was not used to this kind of life so I could not understand how he could be so calm after all the things I have just been through.I was tired and in the middle of the sea on a stealth yacht heading for nowhere in particular. I was working in a fast-food restaurant before I was dragged into this battle for my life.It felt so unfair to me. One moment I was basking in freedom and the next I was shooting guns at people I didn't know. I had been drafted into a war that I did not start.Stephan had packed the plates into the kitchen and was washing them. I used that time to explore the yacht. We were below deck, protected from the cold outside.I looked out the window and all I could see was darkness and endless waves of water. The yacht rocked from side to side as lightning struck, the flash of light revealing just how far into the sea we were.It was raining and it increased

~PamelaI joined Georgia and the ravens in the house as the last line of defense in case the men outside fail to repel Dwayne's men. I endured many minutes of gun shots and death cries. The door was being hit with bullets but it did not penetrate through the door.I realized in terror they Stephan was out there among those flying bullet. It took all the will in my body not to run outside to Stephan. More gun shots and shouting took place outside while I stayed inside almost losing my mind at the thought of Stephan dying."We should be out there, helping," Minerva grumbled "Yet we are in here shaking in our boots, while the men have all the fun," She complained.I did not want to agree with her but she was right. However, Georgia shut her down."This is not battle of the sexes, Minerva, we all have a roll to play here and we will," She said in a stern voice.Minerva did not have any time to reply before a deafening and earth shattering explosion rocked everyone to the ground. The force

~DelmundoThis was the first time I would spill blood for someone whom I loved. The was the first time that I fought for someone instead of something. This was the first time I was fighting for a cause. For legacy, for brotherhood, for family, and as hard as it was to believe, love.I, Frank, Georgia and Pamela sat in the dining room hatching our own plan of action. Minerva had bad new."They outnumber us three to two," She said in a serious tone."What does that mean?" Pamela asked with an innocent demeanor.I stifled a laugh. "Means they outnumber us a hundred times our two hundred men in the area," Frank said."But we still have the advantage though, we know he is coming," I said."There is a way to give us a fair advantage but it will mean that one person is not joining the fight," I said."And who is that going to be?" Minerva asked, looking ready to protest if it was her."Frank, it's going to have to be you," I said."And what will I be doing, Boss, if I am not out there rippin

~DelmundoI could not bear to watch her go.I could not witness anyone leaving me again. I had sat on the sofa watching the bed that Pamela used to sleep in. A concerned Georgia, every chance she got, would come and check up on me.I could not blame her for doing so, after the whole thing with the pistol. She was checking to see if I did not have any suicidal urge which I assured her that I didn't. However, she had insisted on checking and I agreed to keep her mind at rest.It was going to be hell trying to live my life without Pamela, but I had been through one before. It was going to be a long road to healing from this pain I was feeling. I had begged frank to help me see her home safely. I was afraid that I would develop difficulties when it was actually time to free her.The next best thing that gave me some modicum of sanity was this room. Her scent was everywhere in the room and it felt like she marked her territory before she left. I took in her odors and aura as I sat. Even th

PamelaI left Delmundo mansion that day. I did not know how he did it but a loading truck had pulled up in front of the house. Men in moving uniform were taking my belongings into the truck and I was downstairs in the living room with Georgia. She looked sad to see me go but believed that the right thing was happening. It was better for everyone this way. Stephan was nowhere to be found but I knew that her could not bear to see me leave him again for the second time. The moving men were already done so I gave Georgia a long overdue hug."I do not know how to thank you enough, please do no miss me too much," I said to her as tears threatened to fall from my eyes."Take good care of yourself, Pamela and do not forget me too quickly," She said. I nodded and let her go. I turned to the entrance and found Minerva waiting and looking a little bit downcast."Hey, I do not like you much but still, it sucks to see you go," She said and gave me a hard pat on the back."Thank you?" I said. Miner

PamelaHe got me a new phone and told me that I could call whoever I wanted. There were no restrictions. That gesture was the most tempting of his offers but I was not going to give in. He knew that I was itching to talk to people and by people, I meant my friend Tiana. It would be an opening for him to dominate me and it will start that rollercoaster of a toxic love. A hot, sensual, debauched and addictive toxic love. I hated him so much and I loved him as deeply as well.It had been a painful revelation to me when Stephan told me what Dwayne did. I knew that I was a chess piece in his bloody game of war but to go to that extent. I tried to imagine the emotional pain Stephan had gone through just seeing that dress. When he told me, I ran upstairs and cried into my pillow. Stephan had said it to get a reaction but he would not see me break. He said it to hurt me. That had always been that problem. Him, taking your space and body and giving you pain returnStephan Delmundo sucked at lo

PamelaAs the days under his tyranny grew longer, I grew colder toward him.I had lived with two different types of men and I could tell the stark difference. Dwayne had been patient even though I was not into him that way.Stephan was suffocating and always hovering around. He had taught me something unknowingly and that was to always observe people. Now the more I looked at him, in silent observation and dull eyes, the more I saw him. These past few days had been very difficult to be around him. All those times when he had been forcing me to speak to me, caressing, cajoling, coaxing, begging. I had wanted to give in. For a Mafia lord, he was very good with words. The way he begged me was alluring and tempting."Let me into your high tower, Pamela, it's cold outside," He had once rumbled in my ear. I was not prepared for it. It had taken place in the bathroom. He said while our bodies touched. Then, I had almost succumbed to his hypnotic words but I managed to snap out of it.I wante

~DelmundoIt became an unhealthy habit to orbit around Pamela. The things that I bought her were ignored and abandoned in the corner of the room. Georgia helped me rouse her from bed today again because she just laid still and stared at nothing. It became an unwanted routine. I will try to break the ice and she would in return give me the cold shoulder. Truth be told, I was running out of options and I could not think of a new way to get through to her. Eat, sleep, and bathe. That was all she did.She talked to Georgia but she would not speak to me and as ridiculous as it sounded, it made me so jealous to see Pamela open up to her and not me. Today like yesterday, she was still on the bed and silently so. I sought out Georgia again for a new set of advice. This time I found her in the kitchen making hot soup that had a chicken-flavored aroma. It was midday and I had just given Frank the usual order to be on the lookout for anything suspicious. I had no doubt Cage was on the move. I co

DelmundoI left her room confused and concerned.QIt was going to be tough not to hear her voice again but it was more than not talking. She showed no interest about leaving the room or getting off the bed. Since I was not getting through to her, I decided that a couple of gifts could change her mood. There was just one problem, I had no idea what could cheer her up so I did the next best thing, something I never thought that I would ever do in a long time. I sought out Georgia at the garden in the back yard. She was tending to the koi fishes in the pond. She had a forlorn expression on her face as she went about her work. Something was up with Georgia too. I could never understand how emotions applied to women, they were always a big mystery to me."What seems to be the problem, master Stephan? You have been standing there for a while," Georgia said as she threw crumbs of feed into the pond. I saw the colorful fishes flutter about to eat the crumbs."I need your help, Georgia," I tol

DelmundoGetting her back into my life did not feel as good as I thought it would be. The victory felt more like a loss to me. Although I had her back, I felt like I had lost something in return. I did not want to admit but it scared me when I saw the light dim in her usually bright eyes.It terrified me because, I was responsible for what she was going through. When I had taken her back from Dwayne's territory, she had passed out from the shock, pain and stress. She was out unconscious until night fall. I might have struck her too hard but not enough to leave a mark or bruise.I knew that she was going through some form of headache but was just proving tough. I hovered by her room listening for any sounds to see if whether she was sleeping or awake but I heard nothing. Her behavior had me worried. I was too pumped up to sleep so I stayed awake all through the night.I paced back and forth the hall till I could not take it anymore. I was curious about what she was up to so I gently pu
