The lone car drives along the road, the headlights breaking through the pitch black night. Elle is nervously looking over her shoulder every once in a while to make sure that she isn’t being followed. Her heart is thumping loudly as she makes her way to the place where the bald man told her to come. Finally after an hour, she pulls up in front of a river which flows through the city to meet the sea which is a few kilometers away. The man called her to a dense part of the woods near the river, filled with trees and boulders all around her. She takes out a large bag from the passenger seat, the bag containing loads of cash. Elle slowly walks along a narrow path in the woods until she reaches a small shack. She nervously fidgets with the hairpin in her hair. Her hands are shaking and the thought of the bald man trying to blackmail her is making her cringe hard. Elle takes a deep breath and walks up to the shack.Knock! Knock! She waits and the door slowly slides open and the bald man's
The guards drag Hector to a dark room. He growls and snarls, fighting to be let go but the men are too strong. They force him on a chair and tie his hands and feet with metal chains. “Let me go!” He barks at them. “I’ll have you for this! You don’t know me-” He screams and shouts but the men don’t listen. Instead, they take their places in the shadows, staying silent. Hector is in a small room with only a dim light above his head. It looks like an interrogation room because the walls are soundproof and there’s a mirror at the opposite end. The door is the only way in and out of the room. Suddenly, the door bursts open and Ryder enters the room with a wide smile. “Hi Hector!” He cheerfully greets his nemesis. “I hope you are very uncomfortable here.” “Release me!” Hector growls. “I didn’t hurt Scarlett! She’s lying. We’re having an affair! She’s just trying to-” Ryder sighs and leans down to meet Hector in the eye. Hector cowers as a cold anger seeps from Ryder. Even though he’s
A car pulls up in front of the Hawkins mansion and dumps a large bag on its steps of the gate before driving away. It’s the early hours of the morning and everyone inside the mansion is sleeping. The bag, however, is moving and making grunting noises.Luckily, a guard has spotted the car and is curious about the bag. Most of the guards have gone for Master Hector’s work while the others are at the airport to pick up Vincent and he’s the only one left for the night. He frowns as he walks up to it and unties the rope.“Master Hector!” The guard gasps as Hector’s angry form appears from it, tied and gagged up. He’s struggling to be freed. The guard unties him.“When is my father coming?” He growls at the guard.“Sir, are you hurt-”“WHEN IS HE COMING?” Hector snarls.“H-He’s coming home around 9 AM-”Hector doesn’t linger around but dashes inside the mansion. He runs past Amelia’s room, his footsteps thundering down the hallway. Hector rushes into the room he shares with Elle.“Elle!” He
Ryder’s car pulls up in front of the isolated bridge. Scarlett is with him and they get out of the car, wondering why Kat called them there. She’s standing on the bridge with Jim, looking grave. “What’s going on?” Ryder asks her. “Why did you ask for a search party?”Kat’s phone call was strange. She requested to borrow his men to conduct a search in this area. Several divers are in the deep water below, searching for something.“Elle is up to something,” she says at once. “I was tracking her phone last night and found her lingering here.”This makes Scarlett raise her eyebrows. “What was she doing here?” She asks. “I don’t know but it was around 2 AM in the morning. She was driving near the forest and stopped there for a while. Then she came here and then left. It was making no sense.”“I think she was trying to get rid of something,” Jim concludes. “We’re just trying to figure out what it is.”“How can you be so sure?”Jim takes out a file from his briefcase and hands it to them.
The small room is cramped with darkness and silence, gradually eating away his sanity. There’s a dim light above his head but it’s not of use in front of the abyss he’s staring into. His palms are clammy and his head is filled with many questions. However, his body is rejecting everything, putting him in a state of paranoia mixed with absolute shock.Everything is a blur. The only thing he remembers is the police dragging him away as his half brother lay dead. Did he feel sad for his brother’s death? No.There’s no sadness in him for the death of his brother. That man meant nothing to him, but seeing Hector’s lifeless body in front of him carved a hole in his heart. It feels empty and hollow, as if all the joy is gone. He never wanted things to end this way but it did.SLAM!The door bursts open and a gruff looking detective enters the room followed by a familiar face. Troy doesn’t show any signs of recognition when he spots Jim behind the older detective. Jim stands at a corner while
The precinct is filled with chaos as the police officers rush around to save the suspect in their investigation room. Troy is nearly unconscious with pain but Jim is lightly slapping him every once in a while to keep him awake.“How the hell did this happen?” Harry snarls. “He’s a kid! How come he suffered a heart attack?”“Kids nowadays suffer from heart attacks too,” Jim grunts as he keeps an eye on Troy. “Blame junk food. Besides, I think his mother had a history of heart disease. I heard the late Mrs. Hawkins died of a heart attack.”Harry grumbles. He’s eyeing a promotion and a big paycheck from Vincent Hawkins. He can’t let the kid die!“Do something!” Harry spits at Jim.“I’m not a paramedic!” Jim replies, feeling irritated. He checks the clock on the wall. Ryder and his group are supposed to arrive any minute…They hear the sound of an ambulance from a distance. Within seconds, a group of paramedics storm into the precinct.“He’s on the second floor investigation room!” One of
“F*CK!” Vincent screams and throws the laptop across the room. It smashes against the wall, breaking into half. Jeremy is standing in front of him, unfazed by his boss’s reaction. His mind is on something evenmore grave.“How the hell did he escape?” Vincent growls. The media is having a field day. The detective who was in charge of Troy’s case was found tied to a tree along with his partner and Troy was gone! Someone from the police department leaked the news to the media and now, everyone is making fun of the Hawkins family saga. The comments online are brutally damaging VIncent’s reputation.“Isn’t this the same family which sent their ex daughter-in-law to prison without proof?” One commenter wrote.“His elder son was a d*ck to everyone,” another post claims. “He tormented the office staff!”“I heard he was a pervert too.”“His ex had so much class!”“Troy goes to my school and we can tell he did not get along with his brother. Then again, his brother was a jacka** back in his day
