CHAPTER 45

AARON'S POV

We were falling down, while bullets fired in our direction. I held Valencia tightly against my chest, trying to protect her from bullets and directly crashing on the ground.

God, I don't want to die young!

I have not even gone to Paris yet! I wanted to go there for my honeymoon with my wife, my life partner.

I have dreamed of my 5 children, two girls and three boys— wait! No, 6 children, 3 girls and 3 boys! So none of my children feel lonely.

Please lord save us! I'll stay a monk for all of my life.

‘‘Oh really! You want to be a monk? ’’ I heard Valencia, as she looked at me without any fear of falling.

‘‘What! Did you hear what I said?’’ I asked. Was I thinking so loudly?

Or does she have some power to hear my inner voice?

‘‘Yeah, I hear you say 'I'll stay a monk for all of my life.' out loud.’’ She tried to mimic my tone and said with a smirk.

I didn't say anything and kept holding her against me. ‘‘You don't want to die?’’ She asked with a closed off expression.
