“Dante, is that you?” I called out, but no one answered.

I could swear it was him because I smelt his cologne. I dropped the book I was holding at once and walked into the room to see it bare with his strong.. cologne still lingering in the room.

It was obvious he was here, but he was gone and I couldn’t help but wonder why he left in a hurry. He would never leave without telling me, so I knew something was wrong at once.

I opened the door and dashed out into the corridor, hoping I would find him, but as I ran through the hallway, there was no sign of him. When I got to the end of the hallway, I looked through the large window facing the front porch and I saw his car speed out of the compound.

My heart sank at once, and I walked towards the room with my face drawn down and in confusion.

What did I do wrong? Have I upset him? I had a lot of questions to ask, but he wasn’t here to answer them.

As I walked down the hallway, someone grabbed my hand and dragged me into a dark room.
