Chapter Sixty

The Doctor stood up,

‘It does not matter if you believe me or not, he is probably dead now anyway. I doubt the Dons will have kept him alive for very long.’

Alcina gasped and swung her feet out of the bed,

‘Hey, hey what are you doing? You are not well enough to leave your bed just yet.’

He went to help her lie back again but she pushed him away and stood up shakily,

‘Where is he? Where are they keeping him?’

She demanded not waiting for an answer she was out of the door, wearing only shorts and a T-shirt in her haste to find him. She was almost running, her legs wobbly as she forced them to obey her,

‘Where else would he be?’

She told herself angrily, gripping the bannister on the stairs she knew she had to slow down as she stumbled and nearly fell up the steep rungs to the main reception area. Staggering outside she looked around her frantically, swaying with the effort of just standing up, her stomach churning with the effort she was going to be sick. Clinging to the wall she vomit
