First Kiss A Dream

It was six o’clock in the morning by the time she had woken up. Looking around her surroundings she realized she was at Sam’s house and Sam must have informed her family that she was gonna stay the night at her house.

Her head ached so badly that she felt like ripping her hair out. Looking down at herself, she noticed her still wearing the clothes from last night.

She held her head with both hands and whimpered in pain before her eyes fell on the mirror to the side of the bed. She was going to look only for something to catch her eye. Her eyes widened in horror as she stumbled, getting up from the bed in an instant and lurching towards the mirror.

She noticed her lipstick smudged. Her makeup was all fine except for her red lipstick smudged around her lips. All of a sudden, events of flashbacks started to hit her but it was all too fuzzy to completely remember them.

Her head pounded and her stomach scrunched making her whimper in pain. Her eyes enlarged as a flashback of her kissing someone flashed in her mind. A wave of guilt washed over her. She fucking had her first kiss with a stranger and she doesn’t even remember the face of the stranger.

Her stomach hurt from all the alcohol she had the previous night as tears brimmed in her eyes. How much she awaited to have her first kiss with the love of her life on their wedding day but here, she had the kiss in the worst place out of all the beautiful places she dreamt of having her first kiss.

She walked back towards the bed and laid down, pulling the duvets over her and covering herself. She couldn’t face Mateo now. How could she face him after what she’s done? All of a sudden, there was a knock on the door before the door opened and she noticed her two best friends walking inside.

“ Evelyn “

Lilah called her name as she shut her eyes tightly. They must have seen her state last night and must have known.

“ oh baby “

Lilah sat down on the bed behind Evelyn before hugging her making Evelyn sniff and sob out softly.

“It's fine sweetie “

Evelyn shook her head at her friend’s sympathetic words only to feel more bad and regretful.

“Love, it’ll be a secret between us. No one will ever find out “

Lilah kissed her shoulder and nodded her head in agreement as both friends tried to comfort her.

“ I can’t lie to Mateo “

She sniffed, letting out the words hard making Sam hold her hand and give it a gentle squeeze.

“ then after the engagement, you can tell him but don’t ruin your mood. I know he will understand “

Lilah spoke and both the friends finally made Evelyn leave the bed and walk into the living room. The place was cozy and warm. Sam’s apartment was their comforting place and she was the most mature and mother-like figure between the three of them.

“ did you see whom I kissed? “

Lilah shook her head and Sam shrugged her shoulders too.

“ no. We found you passed out on the couch and yeah took you home .”

Evelyn hung her head low as Lilah poured her a cup of warm coffee and served her.

“ girl, forget about it now and cheer up. Tomorrow’s your big day .”

Lilac’s words somehow comforted her as Evelyn let out a small smile making them all laugh out loudly.

“Bro, drink up quickly. We have a class in an hour “

Dressed up in a black oversized hoodie with a pair of gray sweatpants, she looked casually stunning. A pair of spectacles rested on the bridge of her nose and her hair was tied up in a messy braid.

She looked so childishly cute in her outfit. Walking inside the campus, she was met by Lilah and Sam waiting for her at the entrance of the building.

Quickly joining them, she made her towards her class to see ……… one and only, her boyfriend, Mateo standing outside of the classroom with his group of friends. Walking closer, Lilah and Sam comforted her to stay normal.

“ be calm and be normal “

She reminded herself of the words Sam told her only for her to relax. Walking up to Mateo, she wrapped her arms around his waist making him chuckle.

“I know already who it is “

He grabbed her wrist before pulling her in front of him making her smile as her friends and his boys left to give the couple some space.

“how's my baby? “

Mateo’s affectionate talks made her heart flutter.

“ Good “

“ but I was not. I missed you so fucking much “

He leaned forward. His one arm wrapped around her waist pulling her close making her smile as she placed her hand on his chest, smiling lovingly at him.

“I want you so fucking badly “

A scowl appeared on his lips as a growl erupted from his throat making her let out a giggle making him smirk at her reaction.

“ you’re beautiful “

He placed a gentle kiss on her nose making her smile as he pulled back, letting her walk inside of the classroom first before following behind.

As always he walked towards his boys before giving her a flirtatious wink while she walked to Lilah and Sam, taking place as her both friends smiled seeing her happy with Mateo.

“ Evelyn, open the door “

Her mother Sid to Evelyn who was dressed up in a pair of grey sleeping shorts and an oversized black shirt that reached her thighs.

Her hairs were tied up in a messy bun with spectacles resting on her nose. She didn’t have bad eyesight but she was prescribed to wear one for some time.

Evelyn who was munching on an apple upon hearing her mother’s voice rushed to open the front door of the house only to find Eloise. Behind her was a tall, bulky figure, and could feel his cold gaze on her.

Smiling, she welcomed them inside and was confused because she did not know about their arrival.

“ We came to drop some gifts for you “

Eloise stated making Evelyn smile at her before embracing her in a warm hug.

“ thank you , Eloise. But you didn’t have to “

“I had to. After all, you’re gonna be part of our family “

My mother walked out of the kitchen and greeted Eloise and Dominic who greeted back respectfully. One thing about them was he was not fond of talking. He was a serious type of man who liked his peace and calm and was hard to approach.

Dominic looked so big. Evelyn’s gaze was stuck on him who was sitting on the couch using his phone, minding his own business. All of a sudden, he put his phone down and raised his head only to catch Evelyn staring at him.

His eyes met hers and a sense of flashback rushed inside her mind. He looked familiar in her flashback but no, she didn’t want to think any of it and the way he was treating her, giving cold shoulder cleared it up that he was not the person she had her first kiss with and if she perhaps did, she would have died out of embarrassment.

Dominic had his arms around his muscular chest looking at Evelyn sternly while Eloise and her mother were talking. Kacy and Kylie were at a friend's house and Justin was in his room, studying.

“I am so excited for tomorrow . Are you, sweetheart? “

Eloise’s voice brought her back to her senses as she smiled and nodded her head. Her face gleamed with happiness as her mother and Eloise smiled ear to ear at her.

“I hope you don’t hide anything from us, especially…… from Mateo “
