It was another peaceful and silent morning in Chicago, Illinois. Pedestrian was walking to their workplaces as usual in silence.
Dr. Sophia was among those pedestrians. Sipping slowly on her favorite hot espresso coffee, she checked the time on her wristwatch.
She still had plenty of time before going to work.
Unknown to the danger lurking in her surroundings, she stopped to look at the flock of pigeons. It is her daily ritual.
Smiling softly, she took out the cereal box she keeps in her bag every day for the pigeons. Grabbing a fist full of cereals, she threw it out in way of pigeons, who attacked the food, delightedly.
She smiled as she continued to look at pigeons and then a man bumped into her harshly, making both of them fall.
Putting on the ear protections and wearing the thick leather gloves, Nathan Williams grabbed the rifle from beside him.
He was in a stranger's house on their roof with a rifle in his hands and set to be aimed in a specific direction.
“Boss, he is near.” He heard his right man, Cole Knight, speak through the Bluetooth.
Smirking, he adjusted the rifle and then set the target. Grabbing the telescope, he saw the old bastard running for his life.
His whole form was shaking in fear as he, again and again, turned to look back to see if someone was following him.
His smirk widened seeing the man’s fear. He always felt pleasure in seeing how much people feared him. His name was enough to shake people in fright and leave them sleepless for nights.
He secured the ear protection and then through the telescope of the rifle, saw the man bump into a tall lady making both of them fall on the ground.
The old fool got up and helped the lady up.
Nathan's target was set on the man’s heart who was constantly moving. He was about to press the trigger when the lady came in front of the man, who was unknown to the death that was lurking around him and soon was going to engulf him in its shadow.
He waited patiently till the lady moved aside and then on the count of three, he shot.
In milliseconds the gunshot pierced the man's body and his heart, making him fall on his back. Loud and shrill screams rung in the air as people shouted in utter fear.
The flock of pigeons flew hearing the piercing noise and made loud noises in the air by fluttering their feathers repeatedly.
Nathan put the rifle beside him and smirked looking at his aim. The gunshot hit exactly at the target, man’s heart, after all, he was a professional shooter and that too merciless.
Putting the rifle back in its case and taking off the ear protection, he picked up the case, and within thirty seconds he was out of the house...
He is Nathan Williams, the Scorpion of the underworld. The most dangerous and feared mafia lord of Chicago...
Nathan looked at himself in the mirror. He was on a bare chest with his pants on, as he just came out of the shower.
Fixing his hair with gel, he threw on his crisp with a button-down shirt. Buttoning up all the buttons of his shirt, he wore his black tie, fixing it to perfection. Wearing the exclusive perfume, he put on his Rolex watch.
Wearing the black coat, he looked at himself in the mirror and smiled proudly.
He is Nathan Williams, the CEO of Williams Steels & Oil Corporation. The most powerful business tycoon of the United States.
“Dad,” Nathan entered his father's study and looked at his father who was looking into some files but looked up at Nathan’s voice.
“Yes, son.” His father said with a smile and stood up to greet his son. The father embraced his son and Nathan kissed his father's hand in respect and adoration.
“Father, we have caught John but the bastard won’t utter a word about who stole our shipment. He fainted because of the gunshot we shot his way to catch him. We have managed to take him to the farmhouse through the ambulance. Ronald did the first aid but he needs an operation urgently or he will die.” Nathan said directly to the point.
“Well done, my son! What about Liam? Is the task completed?” Sam Williams said looking at his son with pride-filled eyes.
“Yes, father. The task was completed in the morning. The traitor is dead.” He said smirking sadistically.
“I am proud of you, son!” The father said with pride shining in his eyes and Nathan felt proud of seeing the pride shining for him in his father’s eyes.
“Hmmm, operation? We can’t bring him to the hospital. It will raise questions. Hmm....” Sam Williams thought deeply of the plan and then a smirk lit upon his face.
“Son, you need a doctor and I have a doctor in my mind for you.” Sam Williams nodded his head, smirking.
Nathan raised his eyebrows in question.
“Sophia James.” Sam Williams said and Nathan looked at his father to continue.
“She is a General Surgeon. The poor girl is an orphan. No one will come looking for her. I will send her tomorrow to check up on the case and will assign her to stay there till the operation is successful.” Sam Williams said each word clearly with the plan made and finalized.
“What if she comes to know about our identities?” He asked not referring to their CEO position.
“Kill her,” Sam Williams said coldly with the final decision and Nathan nodded.
Each day brings new adventures, experiences, and tasks. Never did Sophia James ever thought in her wildest dreams that she will experience a gunshot that too from very close.
She was talking to the man who was apologizing to her for making her fall and the next moment everything happened in a blur.
A loud ear-piercing gunshot was heard and then the man she was talking to fall on the ground with a loud thud, with blood flowing furiously out of his body.
She was shocked to core nonetheless she shouted for people to call the ambulance as she checked the man's pulse but unfortunately there was no pulse...
