Bobby jerked his eyes open, adjusting his eyes he was in a hospital room. His jaw tightened. Mico knew he hated hospitals, and the fact he was in nothing but a hospital gown. He hated the smell; it was too clean and he was going to beat the shit out of Mico when he saw him again.
“Oh, good you are awake.” The Doctor said looking at him. “You had to have two surgeries, we almost lost you on the first one. Who shot you?” His eyes not leaving Bobby’s.
Bobby wasn’t going to answer him. He didn’t want the police involved; he hated the line of questioning. “Don’t worry about it when I am out of here, I will take care of my problems.” Bobby snapped. “I need my phone and my clothes.” He snapped. “If you don’t give them to me, I will walk out of here bare ass.”
The Doctor cocked his eyebrow, “You have only what you are wearing there. Mico told me to call him when you woke up.” He said clearing his throat. “Why did you get shot? With silver of all things.” He asked, “Don’t worry I don’t have to tell the police yet, what you were shot with almost killed you. I am pretty surprised you made it through.”
“I said give me my fucking phone!” Bobby growled. He was losing patience; he would walk out of the hospital bare ass he didn’t care. He could see he was scaring the Doctor and that is exactly what he wanted to do. He slowly moved his feet to the side of the bed, the doctor moved away from him.
“Please stay in the bed, I will get you a phone.” He said handing him the phone and leaving you here alone. I’ll be back, in a moment, very well.” He said leaving the room.
Bobby looked down at the wounds, they hadn’t healed much, and he was in a lot of pain. Did the DeMarco family know something about silver that he didn’t know? Bobby wondered if he killed the Don. He hoped the bastard had a slow death. He smiled when he remembered he shot the bastard in the chest.
Laying his head back, he waited patiently for the Doctor to return with his belongings.
“Here.” He said coming into the room. “There is a phone and wallet only, the rest of them were destroyed when we had to cut them away from your body. The police want to speak to you.” He said handing Bobby a card. “I promise I didn’t call them, I kind of have a feeling you are part of the Mafia.”
“Oh, and what makes that so obvious?” Bobby snapped.
“Since your friend left, there are always guards outside your door. You do realize you are not welcomed in this city per your situation.” He said glancing down at his stomach.
“Yeah, you could say something like that. The only reason I am here is if you’re my daughter and someone close to me. I hate this city; I would rather be back where I am from.” Bobby said looking down at the phone. “Anything else?” he snapped without looking at the Doctor.
When he heard the Doctor shuffle out of there, he dialed Miko’s number. He was going to give him shit for bringing him to the hospital.
“Bobby?” Mico said answering the phone.
“Yeah.” He spoke. “Why the fuck did you bring me to this place? Have I not stressed to you about fuckin hospitals?” he growled.
“You were dying, I couldn’t get the bullets out.” He pleaded his case. “I didn’t think about the hospital until you were in the back with the Doctors. I almost lost you, that is not something I want.”
“Yeah, well bring me some clothes and get me the fuck out of here!” Bobby said adjusting himself, he tried not to wince in pain but it hurt like hell. He needed to speak with his father about silver, or this kind of silver. DeMarco knew something about this silver because it was some kind of different silver.
“Did you find her?”
“Who? Bobby asked confused.
“Your mate.” He said clearing his throat.
Clearly, Bobby didn’t remember. He didn’t know what to say. “Just get here, I want out of this shit hole.” He said hanging the phone up.
It took a while, Mico arrived and closed the door. “How are you feeling?”
“Like shit,” Bobby said slowly getting out of the bed. “I need to shift so this makes it faster to heal. I cannot believe he was smart enough to use silver, silver is a rarity.” He said grabbing his shirt, and then his underwear and pants. He pulled the monitors off him; he yanked the IV out of his arm. The machine started whining.
Three nurses came in, scared out of their minds. “What are you doing!” one hissed at him.
“Getting the fuck out of here. Thanks.” Bobby said standing up, Mico placed his shoes on the floor.
“You are in ICU; you cannot leave here.” She growled walking a little closer to him. Mico stepped in the way.
“Watch me!” Bobby snapped. “I need to find my daughter, me staying here is messing everything up. Now if you’re not going to help me, please get the fuck out of the way.”
The nurses moved away from the door. Bobby walked out, well more like hobbled out. His men watched his back, Mico helped him into the waiting car. Bobby needed a shower and a shift and then he would be good to go.
“Any word on my Daughter?” Bobby asked.
“No sir. But we have men watching everywhere.” Mico said glancing at him. He knew he was probably going to get an ear full.
“Do you remember when I was brought into the hospital?” Mico asked, he was hoping Bobby would remember what he said.
“I don’t know.” He said looking at the window. “I feel like something else happened that night, do you know?”
“Yeah.” He said taking a big gulp of air. “A nurse was working on you, your skin touched and you called her ‘mate’.”
“What?” Bobby said shaking his head. “Are you sure?”
“Yes.” He said looking at the road. “You could have been out of it because of the medicine that they were giving you. But I have a feeling what you said was true, you two touched you called her mate and then fell unconscious.” He said clearing his throat.
“I need to find this woman?” Bobby said moving around in his seat.
“Already two steps ahead. She lives upstate half the time, but she sleeps off-campus hospital suite.”
“Have you talked to her?” Bobby said looking at him.
“No,” he said shaking his head. “I figured you wanted to be the first one to talk to her. She knows your mafia.”
“Great,” Bobby said putting his hand to his head. He wanted to find her and explain to her what he felt. The electricity that went between him and her, he was sure she felt it too. If not, it was going to be harder to explain if she isn’t a wolf.
“You have any more information about her?”
“She is private. The only thing I can get on here is she is an ER nurse, lives alone. It doesn’t appear that she has many friends, if she does then she doesn’t see them much if at all.” He said pulling into their hotel parking lot.
“Do you have men on her?” Bobby knew the answer, but he loved testing Mico.
“Of course, how else do you think I know stuff,” Mico said laughing, he turned the car off and headed inside. Bobby followed him, Mico opened the door to his room. “I will let you shower, call me so we can get a plan in motion.” He said closing the door behind him.
Bobby went to the bathroom and started the shower. He pulled the bandages off, they hurt like hell. He felt sick, but he had to get his daughter before that damn family killed her. He examined the wounds; they were still bleeding a little.
Getting in the shower, he felt better. The steam made his body relax, it finally started healing. He knew he needed to shift, but getting it to heal this was a good thing. Closing his eyes, he tried to remember his mate’s eyes, but everything was clouded. Clenching his fists, he remembered the phone call. He wondered if it was his daughter or if it was a show to get a reaction out of him.
Did Abby know who he was, and Brenda was a lying bitch for telling him she hasn’t said anything to her about him. Was Brenda even dead? These questions lingered in his gut. He finally puked it was a mix of water and blood. He knew puking blood was a bad sign, he just hoped he could get to Abby before she was killed.
Bobby sat on the bed and thought about everything that has happened. He needed to call his Father Vincent so he would at least know what was going on. He dialed. He wasn’t sure how his father was going to react to everything. He didn’t want the drama, but he needed to speak with him.“You better have good news,” Vincent growled into the phone.Bobby held his breath; he didn’t want to give his father bad news or no news but he didn’t have good news either. “Not yet,” Bobby said getting to his feet. “I am taking care of things, don’t worry.” He said rubbing the back of his neck.“
“You need a good lay,” Mico said digging into the fresh food sitting in front of him. “Maybe your mate will help you out.” He said as he kept eating. Mico was right Bobby hadn’t had a good lay in ages. He didn’t have time for girls, his father always had him working, and working. He was preparing for taking over for his father, he was getting older and Bobby was the only person ready for the job.“I don’t have time for a good lay.” Bobby snapped. “I need to get my daughter and get us out of here without any more issues,” Bobby said taking a big bite of his hamburger. “I just hope tomorrow goes well.”
Bobby was getting tired of this game; he was going to have to do something about this. He knew Ryan was going to kill her, it was only a matter of time, and he wasn’t going to stand around and let it happen. He thought about going back to the hotel where he saw the Don, but then he remembered he was outmatched there, so he knew he needed to be smart. He had to have more weapons, maybe even bring in some help this time around.Pulling out his phone, he dialed Mico. “Boss?” he said before Bobby said anything.“Get some men together, come where I am. We are going to have some fun.” Bobby said hanging the phone up. He wanted to know how Ryan saw him. Any of these build
Bobby opened his eyes, he frowned when he remembered he was still in the United States. “I cannot wait to be out of here.” He said out loud.“Me either,” Mico said coming out of the dark. “She has been taken care of. She tried to reason with us, but we made sure she was dead.” He sat down next to him. “So, what’s next.”“I need to get ready for my date, I need to make a plan for the villa. I don’t know how many men I am going to lose in this. Hell, I don’t even know I am going to make it out of this alive. All my life I didn’t care if I lived or died, and now I am scared that I am going to die all because I have a dau
“Well long story short, I had a little fun thirteen years ago when I was here on business, made a mistake, and left. Didn’t find out about my mistake until three weeks ago, and found out I had a daughter and have been trying to find her ever since, so it’s been hell. The DeMarco family has been playing games with me, they have her. They started a war, and I am trying to get her out of here and kill the son of a bitch that has her. To put it bluntly.” Bobby took a drink of his wine. “I see, that is hard,” Beth said looking down at her hands. “My mom wanted to do that with me, but my dad demanded I be brought he
“Bobby this might not go our way, her father may make her go to him,” Mico said stroking his chin.“She’s a grown woman, if she doesn’t want to, he cannot force.” Bobby snapped. “I would send her to Italy, but I don’t think she would be safe there without me.” He said pacing back and forth.“Well then we’re going to have to play this safe, leave her here with me, and you need to find Abby.” He said walking towards the door, Beth was finished with her conversations. “Go in, you two have some plans to figure out.” He said to her before closing the door. “So, what did he
Bobby pulled the car over and watched Ryan in his element, he was quite weak when he didn’t know Bobby was watching. He was constantly talking down to the two women, he would smack them a few times, and stomp around like a small child.Bobby dialed his number.“What do you want you want DeLuca?” he snapped.“You are pretty pathetic with your working girls,” Bobby spoke.“Yeah well, you should see how your daughter cowers when I beat her when she doesn’t produce enough cash for me. You know she gets raped repeatedly until I get wha
Waking up the next morning, Bobby felt Beth next to him, he was in heaven. He didn’t move, he enjoyed her until he felt her wake up. Closing his eyes, he wanted to plan for the future, he wanted to enjoy her for the rest of his life in Italy. He knew she would love it; he couldn’t wait to show her off to the rest of the pack. Everything about her was just right. She would fit in perfectly. She would be the head nurse or doctor, whatever she wanted to be. He would make sure to honor her wish.“Morning.” She said pulling him out of his thoughts.“Morning.” He said looking down at her. “I was just thinking about our home in Italy, I think you will love it.”“
When Abby left for London, Bobby was sad. He wanted to spend some more time with her but knew she had a new life now. She was going to be a mother, and she had to plan her future with her new pack. He promised himself he would visit her, whether she liked it or not, he would keep guards with her. Yes, Bobby trusted Dane to keep her safe, but she was also Mafia, so he had to ensure she was truly safe. He didn’t want anything else happening to Abby, she’d been through enough. Yes, she recovered, or put on a good show of recovering from everything.“What are you thinking about my love?” Beth asked wrapping her arms around him.“Abby, I want to make sure we plan lots of visits to her. I already miss her, and she’s going to be a mother so I want to make sure she is taken care of.”“Oh Bobby you know she is going to be taken care of and yes I would love to visit London. It will do you some good, now that ev
Days turned into months, Bobby and his family adjusted to the winter. Everyone seemed to relax into their life in Italy. Beth was happy; she was growing and expecting twin boys due any time now. Abby learned that her wolf wouldn’t be fully grown until she turned eighteen so she had time to be a teenager, and she learned more about her mate and she enjoyed her time at school and she excelled. Her nightmares stopped, she began to relax and stopped worrying about Ryan and the Italian mafia from New York coming to take her away.“Are you ready to be a mommy?” Bobby mused.“
Bobby’s POVFinding out Beth was pregnant was a shock to him, he was older and wise but being a new father scared him. He wasn’t in Abby’s life as a father so he would have to learn everything. Having a teenager was going to be tough too. She was going to be a rebellious teenager too. With her finding her mate quickly he was hoping she would be calm and collected, she adjusted pretty fast which was good. She had a rough couple of months at night, Bobby had to have guards outside her bedroom because she
Leaving the villa as it burned never felt better, Bobby put Abby in the backseat with Beth. Mico was on the passenger side, he got in.“I’m not sure we should leave them there alone, what if something happens?” Bobby said.“They are both Alpha’s and pissed off, I don’t think you have anything you should be worried about.” Mico mused. “Besides we were told to go back to the hotel, and that is what we should do. They will come back when they are finished with him.”“Abby didn’t want us to kill him, it sucks we couldn’t keep that promise.”“Who said you didn’t keep that promise?” Beth quizzed.“What do you mean
Ryan’s POV Ryan paced around his office, he wasn’t sure what he was going to do. Prepare for his death, or prepare for Bobby’s death. An hour ago Nikolai and a load of his men arrived at the airport, so it was only a matter of time before they stormed the Villa. “Ryan?” Bella whispered. “What’s wrong?” “Your father is here.” He said without looking at her. “He’s coming for you, and I have to decide what I want to do. Give you up willingly or fight until the death.”
Bobby’s POVParking the SUV, Bobby was nervous as hell, he wasn’t sure what to expect from when Abby and he had a conversation. He opened the door to where Abby was. She was a beautiful young girl, looked a lot like him. “Can you manage to carry her without waking her up?” Vincent asked. “Of course, father,” Bobby growled. He slid his arms under her gently picking her up, she rolled into his chest. She didn’t wake up, he was thankful for that. She smelled of blood. “She’s bleeding.” He asked.
Ryan’s POV Wandering around drunk off his ass, he was done making the deals he came there to make. Beth went to find out where Abby was. “Where’s Abby Ryan?” Beth asked. “She better be with her security team.” He snapped. “Well, Johnny and Marcos are over there,” Beth said nudging him. “So doesn’t look like they are with her.”
Abby’s POVWatching Ryan make an ass out of himself was enough for Abby to get up from the table. “Where are you heading Abby?” Johnny asked. “I’m stretching my legs, Ryan wants me to mingle so I might as well start now.” She said over her shoulder. “Try not to be up on me though, you’re going to kill my vibe and scare everyone away because of your presence.” “Well don’t try and run and I’ll play nice.&rdq
Ryan’s POV Ryan finished getting ready, he wore a black suit, he had his black silky hair combed back, a gun in his back. He place a black cocktail dress for Beth to wear, and for Abby, she had a long black dress that sparkled, Ryan wanted her married into Chester’s family so she had to make an impression with them, he was going to be pissed if she messed this up tonight. “Girls come down here please.” He called from the stairs. Abby and Beth both walked slowly down the stairs, both hated Ryan for making them go to this party.
