Ch035: Blatant Accusation

As soon as we walked to the foyer, I could hear a familiar laugh from the sitting room. It caused a scowl to appear on my face. What is she doing here so late?

"Goodnight Luna... Good night alpha," I forced a smile on my face as I nodded at the maid that bowed and took the paper bag in my hand.

"Keep that in a safe and warm place. I'll need it tomorrow."

"As you command, Luna," The maid bowed again before leaving. I still couldn't get over how they addressed me as Luna so easily and bowed almost every time.

"Sister-in-law, I'll just sneak to my room. I'm seriously famished and exhausted. I don't have the strength to face my brother right now."

Seeing the tired look on Ricardo's face made me feel guilty. I realized even though I already told him what happened with those strange witches, I haven't apologized to him.

"I'm sorry. I made you worry about me. I must have gotten you into so much trouble. I should have—"
