I burst into tears as a memory rippled across my memory. "Why did you do this? Was this the gift you promised to give me later? How could you?"

Dante didn't even bother to shield himself from my hits and only lowered his head. Why couldn't he say anything? Why was he just remaining mute?

This wasn't how he was yesterday. Doesn't he realize keeping quiet will only cause them to misunderstand us further?

My heart ached at the realization of how he had just appeared suddenly yesterday to help me with uncle Marcelo.

Then accompanied me to the bar. It must have been his plan all along. But why did he do this to me? What did I ever do to this pair of siblings?

I couldn't bear to see the disappointed looks casted my way so I buried my face in the duvet and began to cry.

"Get the maids to help her out," I heard Roberto instruct... Sophia perhaps because she mouthed, "Bitch!" before leaving the room.

Everyone else also left, leaving me and Dante together. My body quaked with disgust
