"Sera, I am not the one to repeat my words. So you better say yes in front of the whole kingdom when I ask you to mark me," Damien said, glaring at me. "Never," I spat. "I will never mark you, you fucking hybrid," I said with all the anger inside me. "Then you leave me no choice," he said as his eye color shifted from hazel to a deep crimson red. His vampire side had taken over. He took a step closer, and my heart started pounding in my chest. I knew exactly what was going to happen next. This time, it was his vampire side. Last time, it was his wolf. Each time I resisted him, he hurt me, made me regret it. And now I knew he was going to compel me, force the answer he wanted out of me. I quickly shut my eyes tightly so he couldn't use his power against me. There was no point in running, I was already injured, already weak. A cold, dark laugh filled the room, sending a shiver down my spine. "My, my, look how afraid you are, my Sera," he mocked. I could feel him getting closer, his presence suffocating. Suddenly, he yanked my hair back, hard. I screamed in pain, but I refused to open my eyes. "Be my good girl and open your eyes, Seraphina," he commanded, his voice low and dangerous.

"Never," I growled in defiance. I couldn't believe the Moon Goddess had mated me to this monster. I despised him. Every inch of my soul hated him. "Give me all the pain you want, but I will never obey you," I spat, my voice filled with hatred. He chuckled darkly. "Then, as you wish," he murmured.

I barely had time to process his words before sharp pain pierced my neck. His fangs sank into my flesh with full force, tearing through my skin. I let out a blood-curdling scream as agony burned through me. My eyes snapped open involuntarily, locking onto his, and in that moment, I realized I had made a terrible mistake.

He pulled away from my neck, his lips stained with my blood. His crimson eyes bore into mine, victorious. Fuck. Now, it was going to end badly.

But by night, she becomes something else entirely, a force of vengeance, a silent shadow that strikes down those who threaten her kind. Her hatred for wolves and vampires runs deep, carved into her soul by the horrors of her past.

She has dedicated her life to hunting them, wiping them from existence. But what happens when fate plays a cruel joke on her? What happens when she finds out that she is mated to the most dangerous creature of them all? It was supposed to be a simple school trip. She was taking her students into the forest for an educational excursion, nothing out of the ordinary. But fate had other plans. That day, deep in the heart of the forest, Seraphina's world came crashing down. That was the day she met him.

Meet Damien Alexander Blackwood. Alpha of the Blood Eclipse Pack. The most feared pack in existence. A pack known for their brutality, for their merciless slaughter of anyone who stood in their way. They were killers. Destroyers. Damien was their leader. A ruthless, powerful Alpha who ruled with an iron fist, a man who did not know the meaning of mercy. His name alone sent fear coursing through the veins of those who heard it. To challenge him was to invite death. To betray him was to suffer.

His pack treated their mates as nothing more than possessions, tools to be used and discarded. They did not believe in love. They only see them children making machines. And Damien? He was worse than all of them combined. Because he was not just a wolf. He was a hybrid.

A deadly combination of vampire and wolf, a creature unlike any other. Unstoppable. Unforgiving. And now, he had found his mate. But there was one problem. She did not want him. She despised him. She wanted him dead. But Damien did not accept rejection. And he was not about to let his mate escape him. She was his.

And he would make sure she never forgot it.

Seraphina's perspectiveFourteen years ago. ( 8 age )"What are you doing here, dog?" one of the girls sneered, her voice filled with disgust. I swallowed hard, trying to stand my ground, but my voice came out weak and shaky. I took a deep breath as I stood before the witches, my heart pounding in my chest. Their presence alone was enough to make me feel small, but the way they stared at me made it even worse. "I... I'm a werewolf, not a dog," I stammered, my throat tight. Tears burned my eyes as I tried to keep my emotions in check, but the cruel laughter that followed shattered what little courage I had. "Whatever," she said, rolling her eyes. "Look at the audacity of this werewolf stepping into a witches' coven." The other girl joined in her laughter, their amusement at my expense sending a fresh wave of humiliation through me. "You do realize that we can kill you, pup?" she added, smirking as if she enjoyed the idea. I took a shaky step forward, forcing myself to speak. "I... I w

Seraphina's perspective Present Time. (Age-22 )The sound of my phone buzzing against the desk snapped me out of my focus. I sighed, already knowing who it was before even glancing at the screen. "Sera, you better be on time. Otherwise, we'll have to stand in the waiting line to enter the club," Olivia's voice rang through the phone, laced with impatience. I groaned, stretching my arms before rubbing my temples. "I know, Liv. Can you stop calling every twenty minutes? I'm checking my students' assignments," I grumbled, flipping through another paper with a sigh. "Chill your ass. You can do that on Sunday night. It's Friday, and you need a break! We'll hit the club, find a hookup, and have the best night ever," she said enthusiastically. I rolled my eyes, already predicting the smirk that was undoubtedly spreading across her face. "Liv, I can practically feel you smirking through the phone. You go find the hookup. I'm not in the mood to get laid." I grabbed another assignment a

Seraphina's perspective Two days later"Tring tring!" Ugh. Stupid alarm. I groaned, blindly reaching out to turn it off. The shrill sound was enough to make me want to throw it across the room. Monday. Again. I buried my face deeper into my pillow, hoping that maybe, just maybe....if I ignored reality long enough, it would go away. Of course, that wasn’t going to happen. I sighed, rolling onto my back as I stared at the ceiling. I could already feel the exhaustion settling into my bones. The weekend had flown by too fast, and it hadn't even been exciting. Apart from Friday night, when I sent a bloodsucker straight to hell, I didn’t have much to celebrate. And Olivia....ugh, Olivia. She had the nerve to text me that she was leaving with the bouncer and that I should "find someone to bang." Like, seriously? That woman had no filter. I had just killed a vampire, and she wanted me to go flirt with some random guy? I groaned again at the memory.Dragging myself out of bed felt like a batt

Damien Perspective "Alpha, we have found ashes near the human club. It looked like that hunter’s last attack happened there," Ethan reported. I exhaled slowly, my jaw clenching. I sat behind my desk, fingers drumming against the polished wood, my patience hanging by a thread. The air in the room was thick with tension as my beta, Ethan, stood before me with his head bowed. His voice was steady, but I could hear the nervous edge in his tone. "Tell me, Ethan, did you find the hunter who’s been doing all this apart from the dead bodies and ashes?" My voice was cold, laced with deadly intent. Ethan hesitated. "Alpha... I'm sorry, but when we reached there, no one was there. We could only detect the ashes," he admitted. The moment those words left his mouth, I moved. In a blink, I was in front of him in my vampire speed, grabbing his collar and lifting him off the ground. The impact was so sudden that Ethan barely had time to react. His legs dangled as I held him mid-air, my grip tighte

Seraphina's perspective I groaned in frustration as I paced around my house, and my phone pressed against my ear. "I can't believe it! The principal actually combined our trip with Mr. Brown's class." My voice was laced with irritation as I ranted to Olivia. On the other end of the line, Olivia chuckled. "Come on, chill your ass. Just focus on your work and ignore him." I scoffed. "Yeah, seriously? This whole trip was my idea, and that asshole had the audacity to call it lame in the meeting. And now he's tagging along with his class as if it was his idea all along!""Sera, just ignore him. I wish I was coming with you instead. We could’ve had so much fun together." Olivia sighed. I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, right. Like this is some fun getaway. It’s an educational trip, Liv. There’s nothing fun about it." I slung my bag over my shoulder and stepped out, calling for a cab. "Still, you’ll be in the middle of a forest. You could at least enjoy a bonfire, tell spooky stories, or, I don’t kn

Seraphina’s PerspectiveThe restricted area was eerily quiet. Too quiet. With each step I took, the silence felt heavier, like an invisible force pressing down on me. I clutched my torch tightly, the flickering light casting long, twisted shadows on the damp ground. The further I walked, the more unsettling everything became. Then, a sharp gust of wind rushed past me. A shiver ran down my spine. The trees here were ancient, gnarled, and twisted, their branches stretching out like clawed fingers, reaching for the sky. The bark was rough and cracked, almost burnt, like they had survived a great fire long ago. Thick vines wrapped around the trunks like ropes, suffocating them. The ground was wet, covered in stagnant water, making my boots sink slightly with every step. The narrow path was littered with sharp stones and pebbles, making it difficult to walk without tripping. The water rippled unnaturally, as if something was lurking beneath its surface. Then came the sounds. A distant owl

Damien Perspective Next dayI clenched my jaw as I sat in the cold, dark dungeon, my body still bound by the heavy silver chains. My wolf Zyros was restless, snarling inside me, demanding to be free, while my vampire side burned with the need to hunt—to claim. The full moon had ended, yet the rage within me had not lessened. Instead, it intensified with each passing second. My so-called mate had the audacity to run away from me. The thought made my blood boil. How dare she? She was supposed to run into my arms, fall at my feet, and submit to me. Instead, she fled like a coward. My mate. My fucking mate ran away from me. I exhaled sharply, my nostrils flaring as her scent still lingered in the air—a maddening blend of vanilla and roses, the most intoxicating thing I had ever smelled. It wrapped around me, suffocating me with desire and rage. I wanted to see her face. I wanted to hear that melodic voice again, to have her whisper my name. But the night had betrayed me, keeping her hidd

Damien’s PerspectiveI leaned back on the leather couch, the dim glow of the chandelier above casting a golden hue over the lounge. The scent of burning tobacco filled the air as I took a slow drag of my cigarette, letting the smoke curl around my fingers before exhaling. The room was silent, except for the faint crackling of the fire in the fireplace. Ethan stood in front of me, his stance rigid, waiting for my command. "Ethan, I want you to gather the warriors and attack the pack in the south. Slaughter whoever comes in the way. I want that land," I ordered, flicking the ash off my cigarette into the tray beside me. Ethan shifted slightly, hesitating. "Alpha, we can do it. But their alpha will cause an issue." I narrowed my eyes at him, annoyance curling in my chest. "Do I give a fuck?" My voice was cold, sharp. "I want that land under my name tonight. If you fail, then I’ll go myself." Ethan swallowed hard but nodded. "Understood, Alpha.""Tell their Alpha they better surrender," I

Damien’s PerspectiveShock. That was the only word running through my mind as I stared at the white wolf standing in the centre of the battlefield. Seraphina… she's a fucking white wolf. My jaw tightened, my hands clenched into fists at my sides, but I couldn't take my eyes off her. Her wolf, Ella, was unlike anything I had ever seen—massive, pure white, and radiating raw power. The sunlight reflected off her pristine coat, making her seem almost untouchable, divine even. My wolf, Zyros, was restless in my head, clawing to the surface. He let out a deep growl, his desire to mark her in this form making my body tense with restraint."She’s beautiful," Zyros murmured. "I want her. I want to play with her, mark her, make her ours even in her wolf form." I gritted my teeth. "Not now. The fight isn't over yet." I turned my gaze toward Scarlett, who was already in her wolf form. Her brown fur bristled with barely concealed fear, and she took an instinctive step back as Seraphina snarled, h

Seraphina's perspectiveScarlett’s wolf was fully in control now. I could see it—the way her eyes glowed with a dangerous hazel hue, the way her stance shifted slightly, her body tense with raw power. She was ready. Ready to tear me apart. And I knew she wouldn’t stop—not today. I swallowed hard, my heartbeat pounding so violently that I could hear it in my ears. "Okay," Damien’s voice rang through the training ground, his words filled with authority, "the first one to take the other down will win and will be considered as my mate and the Luna of the pack." His words made my chest tighten painfully. Mate. Luna. As if I was just a prize to be won. But even through the chaos in my mind, I could feel it—Damien’s anger. His wolf was already clawing beneath his skin, ready to kill Scarlett for challenging me. For challenging his mate. But he couldn’t. His pride, his rules, wouldn’t allow him to interfere. He was bound to let this fight happen. I felt his eyes on me, the weight of his expe

Seraphina's perspective My heart plummeted to my stomach. Scarlett had just challenged me. She had spoken the words. Declared it. And now, there was no turning back. A chill ran down my spine as I turned toward Damien, my breath catching at the pure rage radiating from him. He was seething. Fury rolled off him in suffocating waves, his muscles taut, his fists clenched so tightly his knuckles turned white. Then— before I could blink, he moved. Damien lunged at Scarlett, his hand wrapping mercilessly around her throat as he lifted her off the ground like she weighed nothing. The room shook with the force of his anger. "HOW FUCKING DARE YOU CHALLENGE YOUR LUNA?!" His voice boomed, raw and unforgiving, echoing through the castle walls. Scarlett thrashed, her hands clawing at his iron grip, her feet kicking wildly as she struggled for air. Her eyes were wide with terror. She had made a terrible mistake. Damien’s wolf was on the verge of snapping. His body trembled with rage, his eyes pitc

  • MY HYBRID MATE   34

Damien's Perspective Shocked. That's what I felt the moment I met Seraphina's wolf. I thought things would be different. I thought when she woke up, when I finally got to meet her wolf, she would be eager to see me. The mate bond should have overpowered her senses, making her crave me, making her desire to mark me, to love me, and to submit to me. To make love to me. But no. Everything turned out to be the exact opposite. If I say Seraphina's attitude is bad, then I'd be wrong. Because her wolf is ten times worse. Ella is a spoiled, defiant, insufferable bitch. She disrespected me. She challenged me. And she had the audacity-the fucking audacity-to raise her hands against me. Not once. Twice. She hit me-physically fucking hit me-as if I were some ordinary wolf beneath her. Like I wasn't her mate. Like I wasn't her Alpha. Like I wasn't the fucking hybrid king. I thought when Seraphina would wake up, her wolf would go against her. I thought Ella would give in to the mate bond, m

  • MY HYBRID MATE   33

Seraphina's perspective A cold shiver ran down my spine as I looked at Damien—no, not Damien. Zyros. His golden eyes glowed with raw dominance, his wolf fully in control. My heart pounded in my chest like a drum of warning, screaming at me to run, to fight, to do anything but stand here, trapped in his presence. But I wasn’t in control. Ella was. She stood tall, unbothered, her posture fearless, her gaze locked onto Zyros like she was challenging him. I felt trapped inside my own mind, merely an observer of what was unfolding before me.Then, without warning, Zyros moved. In a blink, he closed the distance between us, his large hands wrapping around my waist as he yanked me forward. A sharp gasp escaped me at the sudden impact, my body colliding against his firm chest. A foreign heat spread through me, something primal, something I hated. Then, to my absolute horror— a purr rumbled from my throat. No. No. NO! Disgust slammed into me like a tidal wave. This wasn’t me. This wasn’t what

Damien’s PerspectiveI leaned back in my chair, exhaling a cloud of smoke as the rich scent of my cigar filled the air. The room was dimly lit, the only sound being the steady ticking of the clock on the wall. My office reeked of power, dominance, and blood—just the way I liked it. Across from me stood my beta, Ethan, and my delta, Mason, both waiting for my command. "Alpha, which pack do you want us to attack next?" Ethan asked, his sharp eyes watching me closely. I took another slow drag of my cigar before answering. "I want the land on the north side now. I want you to send our soldiers there and wipe them out," I stated firmly. Ethan gave a curt nod, but before he could respond, Mason cleared his throat. "Alpha, we can do it, but don’t you think we should take it slow?" I arched a brow, exhaling smoke in his direction."And what reason do you have for delaying, Mason?" Mason straightened, his tone cautious. "Because early this morning, we had some intruders at the pack borders. It

Seraphina's perspective Pain. That was the first thing I felt as I slowly regained consciousness. A sharp, unbearable pain that coursed through every inch of my body, making it impossible to move. My limbs felt heavy, and my bones ached as if they had been shattered and pieced back together in the wrong way. I was lying on bed cold and rough, but I couldn't bring myself to care. I was too broken, too numb. Silent tears slipped from the corners of my eyes, trailing down my face, soaking into the ground beneath me. But then, something changed. A scent—strong and overpowering—filled my nose, cutting through the agony clouding my mind. It was pine, fresh, and woody, carrying a dark, masculine intensity that sent an involuntary shiver down my spine. My breath hitched, and before I could stop myself, a single word slipped past my lips. "Mate." The moment I said it, my heart lurched in my chest. Horror settled deep in my stomach, twisting into something sickening. No, no, no. It couldn't b

Seraphina's Perspective"Pardon? What did you just say?" My voice came out sharp as I stood up from the bed, my body instantly moving backwards. Did I hear him, right? Did this twisted excuse of a wolf just command me to take off my clothes? Oh, hell no. There was no way in the world I would let him see me like that. The audacity—the sheer arrogance of him standing there half-naked, only in his underwear, as if I would willingly submit to him. Like I was already his. "No, forget about it," I snapped, my heart pounding so hard it echoed in my ears. My back hit the window, my fingers gripping the frame as I stared at him in defiance. "You're not my mate. Put that in your sick, twisted mind. And if you take even one step toward me, Damien, I swear I'll jump. You'll be looking at my dead body." A dark, amused chuckle left his lips, but his eyes—his eyes burned with something lethal. He wasn’t playing. He was serious. "Go ahead and jump." His voice was calm, chillingly so. "Who’s stopping

Seraphina's perspective Damien’s fingers gripped my face tightly, his nails slightly digging into my skin as he smirked down at me. His touch made my stomach churn, but I forced myself to remain still. My heart pounded violently in my chest, and my breaths came out ragged. Panic clawed at my throat, making it hard to breathe. My body felt like it was shutting down, trapped in a moment that I couldn't escape. Then, I felt it—his fingers moving slowly, tracing small circles on my waist in a sickeningly gentle motion. My entire body tensed, and I bit down hard on my lip to stop myself from recoiling. The feeling of his touch made my skin crawl, and I fought the overwhelming urge to slap his hand away.“Relax, love,” Damien murmured, his voice filled with false amusement. “Why are you panicking? It’s not like I’m asking you to strip in front of me.” He smirked, watching me like I was nothing more than a plaything for his amusement. I clenched my fists, my nails digging into my palms to k
